  • Read, Read as Fast as You Can!

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Thank you for supporting our Gingerbread unit this winter. With your help we were able to deck out our classroom with Gingerbread decorations all around. The whole classroom felt so joyful! I was especially excited about the Gingerbread molds that we used to recycle crayons. We gathered so many crayons to recycle that we were able to make Gingerbread crayons for not only our classroom, but all six of the Kindergarten classes at our school.

Another highlight from this unit was being able to gift a Gingerbread book to each student to share with their families. The students were so excited and just genuinely thankful to be given such a sweet gift; their smiles made my day. Thank you again for your donation. It went to very good use. We appreciate your support!”

  • Kindergarten Science: An Exploration of Shadows and Light

    Funded Jan 27, 2025

Thank you for gifting our classroom with books, light blocks and shadow puppets. My Kindergarten scientists are eager to explore! These materials will truly enhance our learning. I am especially excited about the books, because my students love to read and are always eager to take books home to share with their families. Thanks for lighting up our classroom!”

  • Water! Water! Everywhere!

    Funded Oct 19, 2024

Thank you again for supporting our project! We had a fantastic science unit on water this fall. The students learned all about the importance of water, how water occurs in different phases, and even discovered how our Earth's geography is shaped by water. I truly appreciate the wide variety of water related books this project provided. Students got to take many of these books home, which always helps reinforce learning at school and connections to home.

Our classroom's favorite book was "Sneezy the Snowman." This is a really fun book about a snowman who keeps saying it's too cold and then seeks out things to warm himself. In turn, he ends up melting. To wrap up our unit we made our own melting snowmen. They turned out so cute and were a great way to combine our science learning with an art approach. Thank you again for your gift. We appreciate it!”

  • Adding People to Our Blocks Center

    Funded Sep 30, 2024

Thank you again for supporting our project. We appreciate all of the play people that have been added to our classroom. With the addition of these toys I have seen student play expand significantly. Students can now act out family scenarios and pretend play in different ways. This has been especially helpful for students who learn best through acting out stories and who may have limited previous English language exposure.

I am especially excited for the addition of these block people to use with our upcoming unit on community helpers. We received all sorts of different people dressed for a variety of occupations. These play people have helped us already learn about different jobs for us to explore in our next unit.

Thank you again for your gift!”

  • Restock Our Kindergarten Treasure Box

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Thank you for supporting our project! We are very excited about this restock of our treasure box. We were starting to run low on things, so this is perfect timing! I am especially excited about the glow sticks and other glow-in-the-dark items, because with the weather being so gloomy a glow party will be in our near future. Your gift will be put to very good use! Thank you.”

  • Help Restock Our Kindergarten Treasure Box

    Funded May 10, 2024

Thank you again for supporting our project. Our Kindergarten treasure box was supplied so well that we even have extras to carry over to this school year!

Our classroom uses ClassDojo to help track students' good behavior and these Dojo points are then used for a variety of rewards. Our treasure box (or in our case a giant Mickey basket) is very popular!

It has been so nice to have so many different options for each student in the treasure box. Some kids are very artistic and love the different pencils, while others are particularly interested in fidget toys and finger puppets. Some of the students even like to pick out treats to share with their siblings.

But perhaps the coolest part of this donation has been the glow in the dark party supplies. We had an epic end of the year dance party to celebrate all we learned in Kindergarten. The children had so much fun waving their foam glow sticks and bedazzling themselves with glowing bracelets and necklaces. The joy in the room was unbelievable. Thank you for being a part of that! We appreciate your support.”

  • Supplies to Start a New School Year

    Funded May 7, 2024

This has been one of the most successful starts I've had to the school year in my 10+ years of teaching. The peace of mind in knowing that I already had the supplies I needed to set up my classroom was really a game changer!

We have already put so many of these items to use in our first three weeks of school. We have been using the journals daily to learn how to draw things. The pencil pouches have been so helpful to keep our brand new crayons and pencils organized. And the folders have been so important in arranging our math calendars, as well as establishing a strong family/school partnership.

Our school year starts quite early and with that we often have families that haven't had a chance to pick up school supplies yet. It has just been so wonderful to have these supplies on hand to start the year off on a positive note. Thank you again for your support! It is appreciated.”

  • Headphones for Distraction Free Learning

    Funded Jan 17, 2024

Thank you again for supporting our project. The headphones have been put to get good use already! Our school is fortunate enough to have devices for every student, but as you can imagine it gets quickly noisy with 25 tablets giving verbal directions at once. These gifted headphones have been wonderful at this time of the year in which some of our headphones have broken and need to be replaced. There have been several times over the last few weeks where a student has let us know their old headphones are not working. It has been so nice to simply pull out a new pair and go on with our day. Thank you for donating to our classroom! We appreciate it.”

  • Learn, Learn as Fast as You Can!

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

Thank you again for your support of our Gingerbread unit! We had a fantastic unit full of learning. The variety of Gingerbread books really drove this unit. We had so much practice thinking of predictions, sequencing stories and making connections. The children's favorite book was "The Gingerbread Man Loose at School." I partnered this book with some great activities from Teachers Pay Teachers. Thanks to the gift card I was able to get a lot of different activities that targeted skills for each of my unique learners.

Our favorite activity was a scavenger hunt around the school where the "Gingerbread Man" had left us clues. Eventually the hunt led us back to our classroom where he had left us a surprise basket full of craft supplies (gifted from you)! Kindergarten is a magical time and the children were so excited to follow the clues and were absolutely shocked to find gingerbread stickers and picture frame kits. The joy and excitement this unit brought to us was amazing. Thank you again for making this unit possible!”
