For my Wobble While We Work project, I would be implementing flexible seating in my classroom. I believe that flexible seating will allow my students to flourish as learners because it will allow them to focus on their learning in a unique way. Remaining stationary for long periods of time for 7 and 8 year old children is not the most productive learning environment for them. Flexible seating will support my students' needs in many ways. I believe they will be more productive, comfortable, and creative because of this potential change in my classroom. My current and future students would have the opportunity to thrive with flexible seating in my room for years to come. These tools would assist and enhance each standard my students are taught. It would allow them to practice movement, creativity, and expression in their classwork. My flexible seating plan would include 4 wobble stools, 8 wobble cushions, 2 balance ball chairs, and 5 stools. Students would use these at various centers around the room. There would be specific, intentional rules for each flexible seating option. My students would benefit greatly from this project!
