We are so excited to reward all the positive behaviors we see from our students daily and take our house team system to the next level! We can’t wait to see the excitement from our kiddos when they see our rolling cart filled with all the store goodies!”

Funded Feb 24, 2023Westover Hills Elementary students and staff cannot begin to thank you all for your generous donations. With your help, WHES was able to launch a cost-free enrichment program offering several clubs to seventy seven Eager Beaver Leaders this spring!
Thanks to you, our kids got to spend their afternoons in a safe and supportive environment learning, creating, and developing new hobbies. Our Lego Robotics students learned to build and code using the curriculum and kits provided by Lego. Students in Garden Club built, filled, and planted in a new raised bed on our school grounds. They learned about the life cycle and needs of plants. Knitting club learned how to finger knit, created a hat on a loom, and the started to learn the foundations of knitting using needles. Book Club worked hard to read and discuss "Willa and the Wisp" together, which was enjoyed by all. Our cooking club participated in blind taste tests, made homemade pasta, and apple pie for Pi Day. Thanks to our donors choose project, we were able to provide tennis club with brand new racquets and balls so the students coulkd learn to play their new sport.
This is just the beginning for WHES enrichment! We hope to continue offering after school clubs for years to come, meaning your donations will continue to support future WHES students explore their passions. Our students are already eager to experience our fall enrichment opportunities!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. McAllister
