Tech World
Funded Jan 27, 2017Thank you so much for sponsoring my project. My students have been able to share their thoughts in ways that wasn't available to them before. After exploring an activity on the Ipad, the students are able to use the Apple TV and show their work and explain their thinking process to the class. I believe that this has allowed my students to better understand the why behind the math, instead of just following the procedures. I am a firm believer that if you understand the why behind something you are less likely to forget how to solve that type of problem. I also believe that business want a work force that can think, this technology has allowed my student to think and develop their own procedures.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018I am truly grateful for your donation. I have been able to use the Ipad Pro to have lesson that are more engaging and high in technology. My students have become more willing to think out side of the box and engage mathematically with each other.
Your donation not only have given my students the opportunity to become more engaged, but it has brought the joy back into teaching. It is always a teachers greatest desire to see that light in your students eye when that point where they GET IT. The Ipad has allowed me to develop lesson where those moments are more and more frequent.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.Math Gone Wild
Funded Oct 17, 2017Thank you for supporting my project. I was able to use the supplies to help my students understand the Math topic, collaborate with one another, and explore each topic. My student are better educated and more well rounded because I was able to do more hands on activities.
I had a rough year due to Harvey and the freeze, but we recovered and are better and stronger because of it. Your donation allowed my recovery and transition to be easier because I did not have to worry about supplies for my classroom. Once again thank you for your donation.”

Supplies Help Make Math Great Again
Funded Oct 30, 2017Thank you so much for your donations to my classroom. My students are becoming more engaged, enthusiastic, and self-motivate about learning math. I am able to have the materials to do group assignment and allow my students to collaborate with each about the TEKS that is being taught.
We were able to review for our STAAR test by doing a group project. My students had to analyze STAAR like question that was done wrong (common mistakes that my students make). My students had to find the mistake and fix the error. This allowed my student to have to critically analyze a problem and fix the error with an explanation of why it was wrong. Then finally they were able to do a gallery walk to see what other student thought was wrong and why.
Once again thank you for your donation and none of this would be possible with out these gifts.”

Technology Is The Key
Funded Sep 30, 2017Thank you so much for your donation to my project. This donation has allowed my students to be able to share their thinking and increase student discourse. I have been able to have my students use the I pad to cast their work and thoughts and project those items to the class. The printer has allowed me to be able to easily print and have my kids prepare for the 9th grade, STAAR test, and increase the engagement.
Your donations have made teaching easier and have allowed my students to have a year full of learning. I am grateful for you thinking about my students and helping them become productive educated citizens.”

Harvey Come Back
Funded Sep 24, 2017Thank you so much for your donation to fund my classroom. Your donation has allowed my students and I to start the year off as normal as possible. I am able to plan engaging lesson and my students are being prepared to enjoy Math.
Recently, my students where able to complete a small group project where they were looking at what the slope, y-intercept, x-intercept, and what the answer is means in different real world situation. After discovering these concept and being able to explain their meaning to each other, then they had to develop their own real world problems for other students to solve. We use the donate items to produce a think pair share, print out necessary item needed, and comment on other groups real world problems.
Once again thank you for your donation and allowing my students and I to leave Harvey behind us.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Gray
