Today's students have external stimuli stemming from electronics, social media, family situations, societal situations, and increased pressure to succeed in school and life. Students who have a variety of external stimuli need ways to help them focus when they are fighting to attend to non-desired tasks in school. Special seating and tools for fidgeting are proven to help students to release built up energy and allows them to focus on the tasks at hand. There are many proven techniques for assisting students to spread their attention and that helps them to complete their lessons. Learning disabled students also need to release built up energies and stressors in order to be successful in school. These supplies will add to the repertoire of assistive technologies in my classroom.
