Learning With an Empty Belly Is Hard!
Funded Sep 2, 2024I want to say thank you so much for giving my students the opportunity to not be distracted by hunger while learning. So many of my students benefited from the treats provided. It was heartwarming to see the relief on their faces when I offered them snacks throughout the day.
Focusing is hard when we're hungry, and you have helped me meet that need in my classroom. Some of my students go the whole day without any food, and these snacks were real lifesavers. Thank you for making a huge difference in the lives of my students, and thank you for your generosity.
My students are forever grateful for your support! Thank you for helping care for them, one snack at a time.”

Building Community through Play!
Funded Aug 15, 2024My students have been having a wonderful time playing with the board games, playdough and connecting with each other. When my students first saw the materials they were very excited and could not wait to start playing. We play on Fun Fridays! The games and fun is so contagious that students from other classrooms have been able to come to our advisory to also participate in the fun with us!
My most memorable moment so far has to be how excited my students got for stickers! The stickers and the fidgets were such a huge hit.
Thank you so much for your support! I was reminded how important it is to give students time to play and to build community with each other. I could not have gotten started on this very important skill with out your support.
Thank you for all of the supplies that was included! Students are forever garteful for the infinite amount of pencils we now have!”

Funded Jul 31, 2023Thank you very much for your kind and generous donations! Because of you I have amazing wall decorations around my classroom to constantly refer to when teaching math, when encouraging students to have a growth mindset, and share startegies for self care. The lamp in our classroom adds ambience lighthing to a dark section in our room and also provides warm light in a normally flourecent room.
My students were quick to admire the beautiful posters on the wall and very often refer to them during instruction. The invisible math posters have been lifesavers as a quick and fast way to make points to students.
I have students who have anxiety issues and the calming corner helps them with strategies for how to calm down and find their center.
This year I am teaching AP Precalculus and I intentionally put the TEAM and Growth mindset posters in the front of the classroom to remind students that the way we speak to ourselves is very important. Our class favorite is, Instead of thinking "this is too hard" we change our words to "everything is hard before it is easy. Please know that your generosity has made a tremendous impact in my life and the life of my students.”
