Let's Make STEM REAL with Virtual Reality!
Funded Dec 9, 2024On behalf of our students and myself, I want to express our deepest gratitude for your incredible generosity in supporting our project on DonorsChoose. Thanks to you, we now have access to virtual reality (VR) headsets that are already having a profound impact on our classroom and our students' learning experiences.
With these VR headsets, we are able to take our students beyond the traditional walls of the classroom and explore the world in ways that were previously unimaginable. Whether it's virtually walking through ancient civilizations, diving into the ocean to study marine life, or exploring distant planets, the possibilities are endless. The immersive nature of VR has sparked a newfound excitement in our students, making learning not only more engaging but also more meaningful.
Our students are now experiencing lessons in science, history, art, and more in an interactive and dynamic way. These experiences help them connect with the content on a deeper level, enhancing both their understanding and their enthusiasm for learning. We've seen students who were previously disengaged become more involved and curious about their education. The VR technology is not just a tool; it's a doorway to a world of discovery and creativity that will shape their futures.
What you have done is so much more than just provide technology—you've opened up new opportunities for our students to dream bigger, learn more, and see the world from different perspectives. It's an investment that will impact their lives for years to come.
We will continue to share updates with you on how the students are using the VR headsets, and we can't wait to show you all the incredible things they are accomplishing thanks to your generosity.
Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support has made a real difference in our classroom, and we are beyond grateful!”
With gratitude,

Funded Sep 20, 2023Thank you for your generous donation. The first-grade students in my classroom are doing various lessons in understanding magnifiers. We have started learning how to look through a telescope. With time they will be observing various sky objects observable during the day sky. They along with all the first graders at our school will be participating in a night event where they will be able to observe nighttime objects in the sky.
I look forward to some fun and engaging lessons which will teach them and encourage them to want to learn more about our cosmos!”

Funded Nov 21, 2016I am so thankful for your generosity. The students absolutely love using the new Chromebooks. We are rotating them during differentiated instruction and using them in both reading and math. They turn on and open the Internet programs we use in class so quickly that it really make transitioning from student to student a breeze. They have been instrumental in incorporating individualized learning more frequently and consistently. They are allowing me to more effectively reach struggling students and enrich the education of students who have already mastered specific skills.”
