Hi visitors, and welcome. I teach in an economically depressed urban school district with a zero budget and no monies for texts or technology. Both my Psychology and European History textbooks, eg., were published over 15 years ago. That said, the school is also a nationally recognized Magnet school for gifted students with both IB and AP courses and programs, whose graduation rate is 100%, and more than 97% of whose students attend college. That the school is consistently on Newsweek's Top 100 schools in the nation is a testament to the students and their commitment to their own education, to a dedicated and creative teaching staff, and to an active and engaged PTO. Ours is a unique and special academic culture and community. The projects for which I request funding include updated texts and supplementary materials that are designed to enhance teaching and learning. I appreciate your consideration of support.
