My classroom is a vibrant learning space with diverse art and artists on display. The building was built in 1932 and added on to at a later date. The art room is in an older section of the building and storage can be tight for that reason. The very tall windows let in light from the outdoors. I can view oak trees outdoors. The students are very creative, adventurous, and fun. Art making is something they look forward to. This is the first time in a long time that they have had a full-time art teacher. They are ready for new opportunities and adventurous exploration in art and I am ready to give them an art experience to remember. Some students are ENL and speak little or no English language. They are well-mannered and attentive. So far I have seen a lot of kindness and caring amongst the students. Thank you all!
