A Well-Organized Classroom Should Include a Decent Library!
Funded Apr 6, 2024Reading has countless benefits, and this project has had a significant impact on my students' learning and development. With the generous donations received, including book sets like National Geographic Kids, Mo Willems' Elephant & Piggie series, and the Sadiq Collection, my students have been exposed to a wide range of engaging and educational materials. These books have not only sparked their interest in reading but also helped them develop cognitively, academically, creatively, and socially.
Through reading, my autistic students have learned about social interactions and have started to apply them in real-world scenarios. The visual aids provided with the books have been invaluable in helping them better understand the content. Encouraging students to ask questions and discuss their reading has fostered better comprehension and peer relationships. For my non-verbal students, books with repetitive or rhyming words have been particularly effective in building language skills and expanding their vocabulary. This project has truly enriched our classroom, allowing my students to shine like the gemstones they are.”

A Fully Organized Classroom Should Feel Like a Second Home!
Funded Mar 18, 2024The "A Fully Organized Classroom Should Feel Like a Second Home" project has greatly enhanced the learning environment for my students. The items we've received, such as durable magazine and book holders, binder pockets, view binders, and assorted binder rings, have revolutionized our organizational system. These supplies have made it easier for my students to access and manage their materials, fostering a sense of independence and responsibility. The color-coded organization system has also helped them quickly identify and retrieve their items, reducing anxiety and creating a more streamlined, stress-free classroom experience.
Additionally, the use of flashcards and binder clips has been instrumental in improving their fine motor skills and memory retention. The colorful and interactive nature of these tools has kept my students engaged and motivated to participate in learning activities. The project has truly transformed our classroom into a well-organized, efficient, and welcoming space where my students can thrive academically and personally.”
