Snacks and Snacks
Funded Dec 4, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity. My students were so excited about the snacks when I first told them about them! They have been able to have snacks during the day and take them home! The kids loved to be able to choose which snack they wanted and there was a lot of variety. There were some days when students were given play money and they played store with the snacks. The students were able to pretend to purchase the snacks which gave them some additional real-world experiences. Thank you again for your kindness!”

Funded Dec 1, 2022Thank you so much for the resources! The kids love them so much! We use them all the time and the kids can't wait to take them out and play with them. I teach multiple grade levels this year and the kids in every grade level love using them. Not only are the manipulatives engaging, they are beneficial for their learning as well. The kids use the letter tiles to spell words and then they make houses out of them. The letter beads are awesome because the students make necklaces after they make their words. The light tables add extra fun to anything they do on them! My students love learning with these manipulatives! Thank you so much!”

Funded Apr 16, 2018Thank you so much for your generosity. Many of the families in my school speak Spanish and it makes it challenging for them to help their children read at home when the kids are reading books in English. It also made it difficult to get the students excited about reading at home when they were not able to read to someone who understood or could ask them questions. Now, my students take home a book in English and the same book in Spanish. They are able to read the book to their parents or grandparents who can follow along with the Spanish version!
My students are so excited to tell us about reading at home when they come in the next day. They pick books that they know the person reading with them at home will like too! It's amazing to see them continue to be excited about reading! Thank you!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018I am so thankful for the resources that have been provided to my classroom because of your generous donations. My students were so excited when the resources arrived and they couldn't wait to use them!
The Time Tracker has been so helpful and very fun to use! There is so much flexibility because we can manually set a time limit and the intervals for when the colors change. The students can see when their time is running out and are able to manage on their own how much longer they spend working before they have to clean up. They also quickly learned how to restart the timer so they can move on to their next activity independently.
They also really love the Wireless Eggspert game! It motivates my students to try their best and complete their work because they want to be the one to hit the buzzer. It makes me so happy when they ask to work in groups and use the Eggspert game!
These resources have been a great addition to my classroom! Thank you again for your support!”

Funded Nov 26, 2017Thank you so much for your donations. We are so appreciative of the resources your donations have provided to our classroom. The light and timer in this project were meant to provide something that my students could watch to help them relax and refocus when needed. The fidgets were meant to provide my students with something they could use to help occupy their hands so their minds could focus on what they were learning. The items have been so helpful. My students can watch the timer one time and they are able to refocus their attention on their learning. Again, thank you so much for your generosity!”

Funded Dec 20, 2016Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! I cannot say thank you enough! My students love the new chromebooks and are so excited when it is their turn to use them! There are so many educational websites that my students have access to when using the chromebooks and it helps continue to make learning fun for them.
My students have gotten really good at using the chromebooks too! Along with using educational websites to enhance their learning, my students are using the chromebooks to practice their typing skills. We often have them type their stories and open-ended responses on the chromebooks and they love it! The ability for the students to access Google Drive has made grading the assignments much easier since they can share their document with me and I can see it instantly.
So again, I thank you for your tremendous generosity and the amazing possibilities it has brought my students!”

Ready...Set...Read!
Funded Feb 25, 2014I wanted to take the time to thank you again for your generous donations. My students were so excited when they saw the boxes of books arrive to our classroom. They could not wait to start reading them! My students are learning so much from the nonfiction books, and going on many adventures when they are reading the fiction books. They are always bringing their books up to me to point out the new and exciting things they are learning.
The books are exciting for me for many reasons as well. I get to see the smiling faces of my students as they search through the many books to select one to read. I love when they ask if they can take more than one because there are so many they want to read. It's also great to hear the excitement in their voices as they tell me about something new they learned. So thank you again for the amazing contribution that has brought so much to our classroom!”
