  • Rain, Rain Go Away I would Like A Raincoat Today!!!

    Funded Jan 23, 2025

I want to say the rain coats and hats and gloves really come in handy. Most of all children loose a glove or hat so this helps with a child's needs. I am so happy because we have come to a time when the weather is so unpredictable and we have beautiful sun shiny days then we are back to the rain so my babies have umbrellas and rain coats to keep them dry as they are walking to and from school. If you could just picture them when they come in to class with their umbrellas so proud because it belongs to them. I thank you so much for all your support.”

  • Let's Celebrate All Cultures

    Funded Nov 19, 2024

I believe if we learn about all cultures we open a brand new and welcoming world to our children. In this world we need to learn about different cultures, custom and foods. We can make it fun for example we can read about Cinco de Mayo and learn about the foods. What about China or Spain. This is something we need to learn about so our children may grow up with empathy and no bias. I hope we can learn to grow together and hope you continue to support and believe in my ideas. It takes a village to care for my babies. Thank you for taking care of us.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Otero

  • A Full Stomach = A Happy Child

    Funded Dec 21, 2024

I don't know if you realize how much I appreciate your support and donations. I have students who come in the morning and miss the school breakfast and when they come in to class hungry guess what we have cereal and juice for them. It's not their fault they come in late and maybe hungry. If they don't get something in their tummy's they will not have the energy to learn. We also provide for other children in the school when we can.

The weekend baggies go very well with my babies they remind me Thursday to make sure I pack it up for the weekend. See you provide for many thank you so very much and I can only hope you continue to provide and support us.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Otero

Every year our school has a moving up ceremony for our Pre-K students and families. Each year we have been blessed to have the finances to cover for all materials. However, this year has been a struggle and unfortunately we do not have the resources that we need to celebrate. Our Moving Up Barbecue event this is our last family engagement which has proven through the years to be successful event. This golden opportunity helps bring families together. We provide food (sandwich, burgers) snacks (snack box consist of potato chips, cookies granola bars and drinks.) Most of my families live in temporary housing and they look forward to these events as well as connecting with the teachers, administration and other families in similar situations. This maybe their only outlet the barbecue breaks away walls that parents put up in order not to allow anyone close. However listening to music playing with the children and eating Good food always provides happiness. I believe strongly that while breaking bread ( no matter what type) brings togetherness, conversation and great company. With our barbecue we bring parents and their children together. No T.V. games or phones just food and play time. Quality time spent with each other. A memory that will last forever. Priceless!!!!!!
