  • Help Me Create a Diverse Library!

    Funded Oct 2, 2020

Thank you so much for donating diverse books to our classroom library! With your help, students now have a variety of books to choose from that include all different cultures, races, and religions! They are so excited to see more books and stories that they can relate to to help encourage their reading!

I have seen a higher engagement in my students' interest since getting these new books in our library; books and stories they had no idea existed until now! Thank you so much for your help again.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vogelle

  • Help Students Learn Through History to Make the Future Bright

    Funded Aug 19, 2019

Thank you so much for funding this project!! History has been brought to life in a big way with the addition of these books in our class library. My students were thrilled to see all of the choices between historical and powerful figures to choose from when starting their own biography project. There was something for everyone!

My students loved how engaging the text was in helping them understand difficult topics and hardships a lot of the famous people went through such as racism, poverty, and illness.

They ended the year dressing up as their famous biography figures and it was wonderful to see that they were able to go far with their research from the beginning because of these books!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vogelle

  • A 'Cricut' for a Creative Classroom

    Funded May 7, 2019

Thank you so much for funding me on this project. With the uncertainty of this year, this will be such a great tool to have to make sure my classroom environment will make students feel comfortable and safe!

By having the cricut, I am able to provide them with projects that the cricut can safely create independent materials for. It will be so helpful to maximize their learning experience.

The students will be so excited to have ownership in designing their ideas and making them come to life! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vogelle

My students need a Cricut machine to help them learn in a creative way! A Cricut is an amazing, electronic cutting machine. Just as a printer will use ink to print what you put on the computer screen, a Cricut will CUT out the objects on its screen. This machine will allow the students to pick images, shapes, characters, letters, math manipulatives, etc...and cut them out. The possibilities are endless! We will be able to create new math and literacy centers and provide differentiation that is needed among students. I believe it will really help the students that need hands-on experiences. The more hands-on, memorable lessons help to make learning fun and exciting for not only the students this year, but for years to come. I believe active and concrete experience is the most powerful form of learning. The Cricut Expression will enable these types of opportunities and allow me to bring hands-on learning to life! The materials my students and I will create using this machine will support the curriculum and promote growth in all areas of development. By providing information in a visual manner, I will be better equipped to support all children including those with learning disabilities and language challenges.
