  • On the Home Stretch!

    Funded May 9, 2024

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation towards our project "On the Home Stretch." Your support has made a significant difference in our classroom and has truly helped our students finish the 23-24 school year strong.

This project was designed to provide our students with the resources and experiences they need to thrive as they approach the end of their elementary school journey. Thanks to your contribution, we have been able to enhance our learning environment and offer meaningful activities that have inspired and motivated our students.

Your generosity has not only helped us achieve our project goals but has also reinforced the importance of community support in our educational journey. Each day, we see the positive impact of your contribution on our students' enthusiasm and dedication.

Thank you once again for your kindness and for believing in the potential of our students. Your support has been a vital part of helping them reach their full potential and finish the year on a high note.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Simpson

  • What Do I Do Now?

    Funded Nov 9, 2023

I feel as though your donations have completely changed my students! They are so eager to work on these early finisher activities through your donations. They are motivated to work harder and harder every day to complete work that pushes them beyond their comfort zones. All of your generous donations gave the students the opportunity to be organized and provided resources for their next level learning.

I can happily say that I am no longer hearing the phrase, "What do I do now?" and for that I am so grateful!

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Simpson

  • HP's Getting Creative With a Cricut!

    Funded Nov 28, 2022

Thanks to you, my students were able to use the resources to design two bulletin boards for the hallway in front of our classroom. They designed a bulletin board for the "American Spirit Week" celebrated at our school every year. They also designed a bulletin and used the materials to create a "Women's history month" board.

They were so excited to learn about and use the Cricut, all thanks to you!! My students will be designing many more bulletin boards throughout the remainder of this year, because it is their new favorite thing! Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Simpson

  • STEM Activity Centers

    Funded Dec 9, 2021

My students got the opportunity to participate in a "Junk Box" Challenge during Valentine's day. The students were challenged to make a pair of tongs to pick up Cupid's fallen hearts (candy). They were given clay, popsicle sticks, tape, scissors, paper, rubber bands and paper clips. All of which wouldn't have been accessible without your support!

My students were so excited to be able to work with a peer and complete this challenge. They love to be competitive in the classroom, and I loved that I could incorporate STEM activities while doing so. The winners of the challenge were ecstatic. My students all told me how happy they were to participate in this challenge, and they are so excited for our next STEM challenge!

I don't want to stop here! I want to continue to give my students the opportunity to learn while using hands-on materials. My next classroom project will be to create math manipulative centers for my fourth graders to use every day in the classroom! Thank you again for the support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Simpson

My students love challenging themselves with activities that go beyond the average paper and pencil classroom tasks. They get an opportunity to try different STEM projects in my classroom such as wrecking balls, catapults, or flood barriers. However, they are encouraged to develop their own projects through innovation and imagination. This pushes them to be stronger thinkers, problem solvers, and learners. By emphasizing creativity, innovation, and "out-of-box" thinking, our students will be better prepared for an ever changing world. However, if we lack the materials, students cannot reach these goals. The project-based approach to learning through STEM materials gives students a chance to break out of traditional educational settings. Students get to learn from a hands on approach. We learn through trial and error to solve every day problems in the classroom. The life long learning goals that students gain from this type of learning can motivate them to take on real-world challenges.
