• Help with Headphones

  I want to take the time to let you know how appreciative I am for your support. With your donation, we were able to purchase a class set of headphones with microphones. Currently we are working on the LAUSD Minecraft for Education challenge. Students are tasked to build and record a three minute video. With these quality headphones, students can focus on their build without noise distractions as well as record their video with audio to explain their work.

  We plan to use these headphones for many other projects we have coming up. Thank you for your continuous support!”

• Ink Full of Possibilities

  I want to thank you for the donations you made to my classroom. Your donations helped supply our class with printer ink and markers. With the ink, I was able to print things such as certificates, essays, projects made on Canva, as well as posters to have around our classroom. Having the ink at our fingertips really got all of our creative juices flowing.

  Another item purchased was a class pack of Mr. Sketch markers. As seen in one of the pictures included, students are able to work together to create and have colorful options at their fingertips.

• DREAMERS need to display their work!

  We are so grateful to be able to have a color printer in our own classroom! Having access to a printer at any given time means planning and working freely without having to wait for someone in the office to print. Our office staff has so much on their plates already.

  We have already started printing some work to display around our classroom. Students get so excited to see their hard work come to life. I really think having a printer in our classroom motivates students.

• Math Lessons That Count!

  Thank you for your donation to our project. It was such a great way to start the new school year! Post-It Poster Paper is such a help in our class with not only writing down Math Talks to post around the room, but also have been a really big help in our Journalism Class as well. We also can't wait to put our Equation Tiles and Fraction Multipliers to good use.

  My students were pretty excited to receive the poster paper most of all so that they can refer back to our math patterns all year round since I now post them around the room.

• Books and a Bean Bag!

  Thank you all for your generous donation! I wanted to share that when I received the materials from this project, the students were so excited. I had let them know that we would possibly get a bean bag and books to enjoy for our rug area and they kept asking weekly if anyone else had donated to our project. One of my students felt extra proud when I had announced that his family was one of our donors.

  When our project got funded they were so excited to open that big box and see a huge bean bag come out. I now had more students interested in picking up a book so that they can sit on the bean bag. More reading, yay!

• Wonderful Work to Display!

  We cannot thank you enough! We have already started using our Scotch Laminator as well as our scented markers. We have made vibrant New Year bookmarks with the Mr. Sketch markers and were able to laminate them. These book marks are so durable that I believe it encourages my students to read more. We have used the markers for poster and group activities as well.

  It is hard to tell which of the products students love more. At times I would say the markers because now they want to make sure everything is colored, but then the laminator encourages them to give it their best in hopes of getting to laminate.

  We have so many more fun projects to create and display and we are thrilled that we have the supplies to do so.”
