My ALE (Alternative Learning Environment) classroom is housed within the district's K-3 building. These second and third grade students cannot function in the traditional classroom setting like most students. Their needs are quite different. They require a smaller class size, differentiated instruction, and the opportunity to have access to materials that can help them grow and succeed in school. Many of my students also have a very difficult time attending to the task at hand.
