  • I Can Refocus and Accessorize To Help Me Succeed!

    Funded Sep 9, 2020

Words cannot express my sincere appreciation for your kind donations to my classroom. The technology accessories and sensory tools will truly enhance my students' ability to succeed within the classroom and at home. Thanks to you they will have the opportunity to practice a growth mindset and achieve greatness. Your thoughtfulness is exemplary. Again, thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moore

  • Learning to Be the Best Me!

    Funded Oct 25, 2018

Thank you all so much for your generosity and support. My class and I greatly appreciate it! Thanks to you, my sweet kiddos will learn and better understand what is and is not socially acceptable behavior. The lessons they learn from these books will be carried with them as they grow and succeed throughout their lives. Thank you all again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moore

  • Watch Me Learn!

    Funded Oct 15, 2015

Words can't accurately portray the benefits my students have gained from the chair ball and Bear Hug! First, the chair ball has given them the opportunity to bounce a little while they work. It is quite difficult for my students to sit for long periods of time. The ball allows them to move while they work and without distracting the other students in class. The Bear Hug is also a lifesaver! Some of my students have such a difficult time calming themselves long enough to focus on anything, when they slip the Bear Hug on, they are actually able to sit and read a book or participate in a lesson! They love the sensation of a continual "hug".

When my students first saw the goodies come out of the box, they squealed with delight! They couldn't wait to start using them! I truly wish you could understand their delight. Not only did you improve the opportunity for academic success for my students, your example let them know you care enough about them to give them that opportunity. Thank you kindly!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moore

My ALE (Alternative Learning Environment) classroom is housed within the district's K-3 building. These second and third grade students cannot function in the traditional classroom setting like most students. Their needs are quite different. They require a smaller class size, differentiated instruction, and the opportunity to have access to materials that can help them grow and succeed in school. Many of my students also have a very difficult time attending to the task at hand.
