We are a bilingual school in the city and many of my kids speak both Spanish and English. Each day, the kids arrive and we have breakfast before starting in the morning. This is my first year at this school and I feel so lucky to have found this position. My students are so bright, funny, and fun to work with. We use a lot of reading and math centers. In fact, we even take learning centers home for homework so that the kids can build positive relationships with their learning and their parents. My students are hard-working and want to learn everything there is to learn. Most days they suck up new things like sponges. Hands-on activities are a favorite for our class. When the kids have things they can hold and manipulate with their hands it is easier to make connections and remember the information. My students are all around awesome!
