All of these supplies will give my students a better learning experience at school and at home. Whiteboards, expos, and dry erasers are used in a daily basis in my classroom. This gives me a chance to see what the students are thinking by showing me in writing. Pencils and erasers are one of the most common materials that get lost or maybe forgotten. We will write a lot and make mistakes in our writings.
Social distancing is the new thing and all that we will do in the classroom, if we go back into the classroom, will have to be done six feet apart! These times are very uncertain and as of right now, we don't know yet if we are doing virtual or in person teaching. With this in mind, if we go with either or, all of the supplies on my list will definitely decrease the flow of germs. The lap desks will help with social distancing to help stop the spread of germs. Flexible seating has to be an option because students participate more and are engaged, if they feel at ease and are comfortable. The seat sacks will help in keeping materials in one secured place. If we do go with the virtual learning option, the document camera is going to provide my students with the highest quality of learning that they can get being at home.
The laminating machine and the laminating sheets will help in providing each student an individual option when it comes to centers. I will print out and laminate them using the classroom laminator and sheets. After each use, they can easily be cleaned or wiped off using disinfecting wipes. These types of materials will be very convenient in using in the classroom, as well as at home.
