  • Class Meeting Rug

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Our classroom cannot say thank you enough for your generous donation to our new rug. My students were so excited when it arrived at the school. They helped to unroll the rug from its packaging. After it was unrolled, my students were thrilled to see the rug. I wish you could see their faces.

Your contribution has helped in creating a dynamic learning environment that allows my students to have fun as they learn. We have learned so many great reading and math activities from our new rug. Our new rug features capital and lowercase letters. The students absolutely loved finding the letters on the rug. They loved reading their books on the rug and working with their math and reading centers on the rug.

The new rug has provided my students with a spot to call their own and plenty of space to work with manipulatives, during whole group lessons. Thank you for supporting our classroom.”

  • Flexible Seating

    Funded Nov 9, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donation of 10 Metal Stack Stools with Padded Seat for flexible seating in our classroom. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the students were not present when the boxes came. I was excited when the boxes came and could not wait to unpack them. The Metal Stack Stools with Padded Seat, in the following colors Red, Purple, Blue, Green, and Yellow brighten up my classroom. Now that the children have returned to school on a Hybrid Schedule, they were excited to see the stools when they entered the classroom for the first time. I personally loved seeing the joy on their faces when they get to use these flexible seating especially during guided reading. Thank you again for your generosity and thoughtfulness in donating to this project. We are so appreciative.”

  • Fun With Phonics

    Funded Nov 26, 2019

First, I would like to say thank you for your generous donation to this project. I have some very eager learners in my classroom this year and they are thrilled to have new games to engage in. Needless to say, every resource that your donation helped to provide has been put to good use! With much enthusiasm, we gathered around the boxes and began opening the boxes. Some students squealed in delight while others muttered, "Awesome!" as each item was uncovered.

Your contribution has helped in creating a dynamic learning environment that allows my students to have fun as they learn. The students absolutely loved the Phonics Magnetic Word Building Boards. The students sort by digraphs, blends, short and long vowels. They loved matching the Sound-It-Out Phonics Puzzles. We use the Touch & Read Phonics Word Match in guided reading groups.

When students are given the opportunity to engage in games that are hands-on and meaningful, they thrive! Your contribution to this project has allowed my students to do just that! I very rarely have to stop my small group instruction to redirect students at stations because they are enjoying the resources your donation has provided so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kittrell

  • Learning with Kindles

    Funded Nov 26, 2019

I am excited to report that the Kindle Fires are already a big hit! My kids love using them to read books during station time and to play reading games (their favorite). In fact, they love them so much, they get upset if they cannot go to the technology station. The best part for me is that I can download multiple reading apps to meet the various needs of the students in my class! I also, use them in my guided reading groups. When I introduce a phonemic awareness skill, the children love to use the Kindles fro reinforce a skill. The children also us the Kindles apps to reinforce addition and subtraction.

We would like to thank you once again for your generosity in donating to this project. My kids are already enjoying them and putting the Kindles to good use!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kittrell

  • Engaging Math Centers

    Funded Feb 18, 2019

First and for most; THANK YOU so much for the math resources. I have so many smiling faces because my students were able to use the products. The students were extremely excited the day the boxes arrived. It was Christmas in Room #24. We took everything out and I explained how as they are learning about new math concepts we would use the items. I can still remember one students' response, "Wow, I can learn how to count money and tell time with these puzzles."

The first time we use the math calendar, the students were excited to count the number of school days and complete the addition problems using the two colored counters. Thank you so much for your generous donation. Your donation has helped me create an environment that is conducive to student engagement and learning. We are all so grateful.”

  • Reading Centers

    Funded Oct 9, 2018

First, I would like to say thank you for your generous donation to this project. I have some very eager learners in my classroom this year and they are thrilled to have new games to engage in. Needless to say, every resource that your donation helped to provide has been put to good use!

When my students saw all the boxes being brought into the classroom they were thrilled! We "worked together as a team" to open the boxes and view the games and materials inside. Their reaction was priceless!

We are currently using the Sight Word puzzles, Blends and digraphs puzzles during station time to remediate on skills that I have taught in the reading content areas. Each station has a puzzle that pairs of students work on together. It makes learning come alive for students when they can engage in academics in an engaging and real way. I have to say their favorite game so far is the Sight Word puzzles! They cheer and say "yes" when they are on the schedule for this puzzle.

Thank you again for your generous donation!"”

I want to create a classroom where my students are learning ways to read in a variety of ways. Students will use Sight Word games and puzzles during our whole group time, small group time, and learning center time. The games we want to include are sight word recognition puzzles, blends and digraph puzzles, and a final e-learning center. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. Please help my new 1st-grade student engage in fun activities to start the school year.
