My students are in fourth grade at a public school in Colorado. Two-thirds of my students are reading at least two grade levels below fourth grade. Most students are also struggling with learning basic math facts such as addition, subtraction and multiplication. These children need these skills to be successful, but often lack the enthusiasm to sit and read a book. When given an iPod Touch students don't want to stop reading or practicing their math. It's a game to them, a learning tool to me.
