  • Honoring Our Heroes on Veteran's Day

    Funded Oct 27, 2024

I hope this email finds you well! On behalf of my book club and their school librarian, I want to extend our deepest thanks for your incredible generosity in providing the decorations and special items for our Veterans Day Program. Your thoughtful contributions helped make this event a memorable and meaningful celebration for all who attended.

In the pictures, you will see the balloons, backdrop, and flags which brought a festive atmosphere to the program. You will also see my students as they performed and were excited to wear the headbands as they expressed their gratitude, The veteran bracelets were especially touching. They were all grateful to have been provided one to thank them for their service. Seeing our veterans receive these small tokens of appreciation was a highlight, and it was all possible because of your kindness.

The Veterans Day program was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women, and your support truly helped to make it a special occasion for all. Thank you for your kindness and generosity and for helping us honor those who have served our country. Much love!”

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your generous donation of ink for our school printer in the library. Your continued support has made a significant impact, and I am truly grateful for your kindness.

Thanks to your donation, my students have been able to fully engage in various educational activities, from printing worksheets to creating colorful displays for library events. I have also made our collection easier to browse by making genre spine labels for our books which students have loved. We hope you enjoy our thank you letters and pictures.

  • Teaching Compassion Through Stories

    Funded Jul 15, 2024

My students and I send you a huge THANK YOU for supporting us! By supporting our project, you put so many needed books in our children's hands. We are forever grateful for your support! This was another special book project and a much-needed one for our library.

I am excited to incorporate these books into my lessons and get them into my student's hands. With everything going on in the world it is important to provide my students with titles that will inspire them and that they choose themselves. I created a Google form that my students can fill out throughout the school year with book titles they would like to add to our library collection. I always try my best to get them the books they have chosen because it makes them super happy and that makes me happy!

In the pictures, you will see some of my students very excited to receive new books! They are smiling from ear to ear because of your kindness and generosity! Every time a box arrives with books, I make sure to show it to every class throughout the week. They love it when the books come straight out of the box! Hearing them say, "Yay" and "Wow" will never get old. This would not have been possible without your support. Thank you for helping me continue to build a love of reading. We send many hugs from Texas! Much love and respect.”

  • Battle of the Books!

    Funded Jun 16, 2024

My Battle of the Books team was so excited to receive these books! We started practicing last week and will read one book at a time before the competition in January. We enjoy reading together each time we meet and have such great conversations. I enjoy using the books to teach skills such as analyzing characters, themes, main ideas, and inferencing. After each chapter, they want to read more!

Books are such a treasure in our library and it makes my heart happy when I hear my students say they love to read. They are very grateful you sent these books for them to keep. So much excitement! In the pictures, my students will share their excitement about receiving the gifts. Thank you for putting smiles on my students' faces and cheering us on from afar!

This would not have been possible without your support. Thank you for contributing and making a difference in my student's lives! I'm so glad you are a part of our journey. Much love and respect!”

  • Technology in Our 21st Century Library

    Funded Jun 13, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous gift of a computer monitor for our elementary school library! Your support means a lot to us and will make a significant difference in our students' learning experience. With this new monitor, our kids will have greater access to technology, enhancing their research and creativity.

The monitor is at our main circulation desk where students can check in and out books, and use our library catalog and website. Students were amazed at the size of the monitor and very thankful for your donation. My 3rd-5th grade library assistants will use the monitor to help younger patrons check in and out their books. In the pictures, you will see some of my students reading around the library after checking out their books.

I will forever advocate for libraries and my students. Thank you for your contribution and for putting smiles on their faces. We hope you continue to follow our journey. We appreciate you!”

  • Student Chosen Books!

    Funded May 8, 2024

My students and I send you a huge THANK YOU for supporting us! By supporting our project, you put many needed books in our children's hands. We are forever grateful for your support. This was another special book project and a much-needed one for our library since I am trying to increase the age of our collection from 2001 and organize books by genre.

I am excited to incorporate these books into my lessons and get them into my student's hands. With everything going on in the world it is important to provide my students with titles that will inspire them and that they choose themselves. • Let's Celebrate!

    Funded Apr 26, 2024

With great gratitude and appreciation, I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and generosity in giving to me and my students. We appreciate you so much! At the end of every school year, I plan a field trip for students who meet their reading goals. I enjoy treating them for all of their hard work. This school year we took a trip to our district's aquatic center for some fun in the water.

My students were happy when I told them we received goodies for our field trip from special people who believe in them and are cheering them on. They love to open the boxes with me and they usually cheer, smile, and say yay the entire time. Our field trip was a success thanks to your donations. Your support ensured that they had a good time and stayed energized throughout the day. In the pictures, you will see children smiling and having a great time.

I am so grateful for such wonderful people like you who continue showing dedication, love, and support for our students. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We hope you will continue to follow our journey.”

  • Fun Supplies to Motivate Students Daily! Part 2

    Funded Feb 26, 2024

Thank you so much for putting smiles on my students' faces with these gifts! Some of the Dr. Sesuss items were out of stock so I ordered a few toys for my book club Easter celebration baggies. This was a special project because every child from PreK-5th grade received a goodie bag with a pencil, eraser, and bookmark from their librarian. Thanks to your support and our awesome parent volunteers, the gifts were ready for our huge celebration!

We celebrated Read Across America with a fun parade in our school! In the pictures, you will see my students walking into the library to receive their goodie bags and some donuts. They had such a fun time celebrating reading! You will also see some pictures of my book club students making baggies with the pop-it keychain and squishy toy I ordered. We send many thank yous and virtual hugs.

This would not have been possible without your support, so I am truly grateful for every one of your kind donations. My students were super happy to take some pictures for you. Thank you again for helping me promote reading to 550 students who love learning and reading. Most importantly, thank you for caring and believing in my future leaders. Take care.”

Twenty-first century skills are an important part of learning and the future in libraries. Preparing students to become lifelong learners and readers is my number one goal. My students lack a lot of experiences that others have because of the area in which they live. Being able to provide them with a learning environment other than what they're used to is sure to get them motivated. My goal is to provide a welcoming environment where communication, collaboration, and learning take place. Literacy, information and digital literacy development will take place in the library.
