My students show interest in keeping up with current events in my social studies class. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom like to read about a variety of topics, but show a keen interest in events that are occurring on a daily basis. A magazine subscription that focuses on current events and issues that affect students would be an ideal supplement to my social studies classroom. Additionally, my students always need help with basic supplies, as most are from low income families. With your help, my students will have a wonderful experience in 8th grade!
