I teach a class of 17 first graders. Many of my students come from tough situations at home, which leads to a high rate of absenteeism, as well as other setbacks. I strive to have a positive impact on the daily lives of my own students and to help them develop high self-esteem and motivation. I understand my key role in igniting passion, curiosity, and a love for learning in my students so that they value their own education, see their set backs as a part of growth, and succeed.

About my class
