I teach in a very poor section of Philadelphia. Most of our students are below the poverty level. The school has many students that speak English as a second language. My class this year has ELL students and Special Ed. students. The students are all eager to learn, but some of them struggle with reading and writing. They need a lot of support and need different ways to express their knowledge.
