  • SEL Games and Glue for Art!

    Funded Jan 29, 2025

Again, I wanted to say thank you so much for the donations of glue sticks and some SEL card games donated to my classroom. As you can see in the uploaded images, we go through glue like crazy with all the hands-on projects we do for engaging learning. Having these donations have helped students be able to continue to be creative and hands on with their learning. The card games have been a hit with my students! They enjoy being able to have simple ways to connect and build community with peers. Without your help this would not have been possible! Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vacknitz

  • Hands-on Math Materials!

    Funded Aug 13, 2024

We have been using our supplies a ton to start off this school year!

The poster boards have allowed for me to make many visual anchor charts for my students. The kids have been loving the visuals to support the learning being done in class.

The math facts pop it has helped my students have a concrete example of math facts in a tactile way. The whiteboards have helped students organize numbers by place value up to the millions and will continue to be helpful when we begin our unit on division. We are forever grateful to have these amazing materials as additions to our classroom this school year!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vacknitz

  • Wobble Their Way to Learning!

    Funded Dec 27, 2023

Thank you again for all your support in getting these wobble stools for my students. Since we have had these chairs, students have been moving freely in their seat supporting their learning one 'wobble' at a time!

Wobble stools provide students with the chance to move throughout lessons to make learning more engaging and exciting. The students have been expressing their greatest gratitude for these chairs because they feel more engaged in their learning. This is all because of you and your support, so thank you again for helping us achieve this goal!

We appreciate all of your support on this project to make learning exciting and engaging!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vacknitz

  • Art Curiosity in the Classroom!

    Funded Nov 21, 2022

The fourth-grade team would like to say thank you for helping us provide a creative outlet in our classrooms through the materials purchased. The students are SO excited to continue working in these sketchbooks you helped them get! They will have the chance to do a Drawing Challenge over the winter break, all thanks to you. This will be a great way for students to be creative both at home and at school and spark their imagination.

The students are so thrilled to use the oil pastels in class! We are counting down the days until the new year so we can use them on our first project. Thank you again for your kindness in supporting our student's creativity through these materials. We appreciate you!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vacknitz

  • Wobble Their Way to Learning

    Funded Oct 2, 2021

Thank you again for your generous donations to our Donors Choose Project! My students are so thrilled to have wobble stools in our classroom to enhance learning experiences through the freedom of movement.

Students were ecstatic when the 12 wobble stools arrived. They could not wait to begin using them to get their wiggles out during class lessons! Our movement breaks have decreased a lot since getting the wobble stools since they have a constant outlet of movement throughout the day.

Wobble stools enhance classroom learning due to the opportunity to move throughout the day and they LOVE IT. Thank you again for everything. We are so appreciative!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vacknitz

  • iLearn with Technology!

    Funded Oct 13, 2019

Because of your wonderful support, our classroom now have two iPads that my third grade students absolutely LOVE to use for learning! These iPads are simple to operate for this age group and provide an easy way to access information. They are used in our classroom daily for a variety of educational and learning activities. As we start multiplication, they will be used for math facts and fluency. I have downloaded word search applications and puzzle activities to help develop thinking skills that provide a fun and engaging way to learn.

I have several English Language Learners (ELL) in my classroom and they are using the iPads as a language support tool. They now have the ability to look up words, translate classroom worksheets with the click of a button, and interpret their thinking from their native language to English. The iPads have been very successful in helping ELL students with understanding the lessons being taught during the school day. Having access to translation at their fingertips helps ELL students complete assignments and truly understand the meaning behind different words and vocabulary. ELL students are especially benefiting from using the iPads.

All of my students are very excited to have access to this technology tool in the classroom. Thank you for helping me raise the funds needed to purchase the iPads. These iPads provide students with an important resource to help them succeed.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vacknitz

My students will benefit from having two iPads in the classroom. These tablets will expand access to information and new ways of learning. iPads are a great research tool and are very user-friendly, which makes sharing ideas easy and simple between students. Students can zoom easily and be proactive in their learning with these tablets. These iPads will benefit my ELL students since they can use the iPads at their desks to translate words they may not know in English. I use my small cell phone screen daily with my ELL students to communicate and help each student understand curriculum by using a language translator application in the student’s native language. By using technology to communicate, my ELL students are feeling more involved in the learning going on in the classroom and are wanting to share on a more active level. iPads are a great research tool and support for my ELL students to strengthen their learning in the classroom. Students will use the two iPad tablets to find information, share with group members and revise research. Also, students can share information and projects they have with the entire class when connected to the display projector. I want to support my student’s success and believe these will be a great asset in the classroom for my group of diverse learners.
