  My students have benefited tremendously from the digital resources I have purchased for them. Teaching gifted students means I must consistently challenge them, and bring upon them engaging lessons. My students love the digital resources because they are interactive, and not the common activities found in their school books.

  Some of the resources I have purchased include book studies. These book studies go hand-in hand with the novels we are reading together as a class. The book studies have activities that engage my students and make them think creatively, to further their comprehension and vocabulary.

  The math resources I have purchased have surely helped motivate my struggling math students by allowing them challenges to learn different strategies. They are motivated and appreciate the variety of resources I am able to provide them. It is because of your generosity that my students remain engaged and learning in a fun environment.”

• Getting TECHY during Small Group Instruction

  Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. Your generous donation allowed the purchase of two iPads for my classroom.

  The iPads are enhancing learning in my classroom in numerous ways. First, it allows my students to use interactive resources during small group instruction. Using these resources allows my students to use interactive activities and lessons where they are constantly engaged. Students are also using the iPads for activities such as Flipgrid which is an interactive video assessment.

  We also are able to use the iPad to control our robots, which encourage STEAM in the classroom. My students are so excited to continue learning and use our iPads to continue encouraging critical thinking and engaging in learning activities.”

  My students are completely enjoying the use of their resources that I have been able to purchase on Teacher Pay Teachers during this time of online learning! They are especially enjoying their book study that we are using with a variety of resources. They are also benefitting from the differentiated activities to help them understand the topics we are learning.

  My students are always excited to use these activities because they are so different from the regular school district lessons. They find that the activities I have purchased are very helpful and easy to understand. My students are eager to learn with my fun activities purchased with my gift card!”

• The Heat Is On!

  Thank you for your donation for my project "The Heat is On"! My students have definitely enjoyed creating ideas for shirts based on our learning. We have created various shirts with slogans they can read. This has made a fun and interesting way for my students to read words and create sentences. They also truly enjoy wearing them.

  My students had never seen how these shirts were made and using this heat press has been something completely new and interesting for them. When they say something clever they tell me "Mrs. Acosta put that on our next shirt!". I believe this has been a great learning tool in my class which has them think outside of the norm.

• Make Us Part of the Tech Squad!

  Thank you for your donation to my project "Make us part of the tech squad!". My students are all English Language Learners and come from low-income households. The laptops we have received have provided my students with the opportunity of completing their state-mandated i-Ready time as well as Imagine Learning which helps them acquire the language.

  Most of my students do not have computers at home and cannot complete these tasks if it is not in my classroom. My students have used the laptops also for interactive activities such as Flipgrid and Kahoot. Without these laptops, I would not have the opportunity to provide my students with interactive learning.

  Again, thank you for your kind donation to my class. My students appreciate this gesture and have definitely made use of it for their learning.”

• Cozy Reading Nook

  Funded Aug 14, 2018

  Thank you so much for your donation towards my project "Cozy Reading Nook"! My students are beginning their journey as readers at a young age. As Kindergarteners, reading is something new for them. Although some love it, it can be difficult to inspire all my students to read. My cozy reading nook has provided my students an outlet to enjoy reading books in a comfortable way.

  My students were so excited when they first saw this nook! They love skimming through the books and sitting on the "fluffy rug" as they call it. The rug, shelves and bench have provided my students with an area different from the rest of the classroom. They love going to this nook and grabbing a book and showing off how well they can read. Sometimes, when I realize they need a change, I will do my small group instruction on the rug. It is our favorite part of the class!
