The third graders in my class are eager learners. The have started off with a few handicaps. The handicaps of language and poverty. Technology is not readily available to them. Computers in their homes are only a dream. Even though they started school with a disadvantage, they come to school ready to learn. They focus and try to absorb as much of the English language as possible. They enjoy realia, and a computer can easily show pictures of these foreign vocabulary words that they do not understand. My students are eager and willing learners.
