Food Pantry Help
Funded Apr 29, 2024I hope this letter finds you well. On behalf of Noel Elementary and our students, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation to our school food backpack program. Your support plays a crucial role in ensuring that our students have access to nutritious and satisfying meals, even outside of school hours.
Thanks to your contribution, we were able to purchase microwavable mini ravioli for our backpack program. This particular item has been a tremendous hit with the students, providing them with a warm and convenient meal option that they truly enjoy. The joy and relief on their faces when they open their backpacks and find these meals are priceless and speak volumes about the positive impact of your generosity.
Once again, thank you for your kindness and support. Your commitment to helping our students thrive is deeply appreciated and makes a significant difference in their lives. We are grateful for your continued support and look forward to sharing more updates on the progress and success of our program.
Warmest regards,”
With gratitude,
Mr. Chamberlain
This classroom project was brought to life by Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation and one other donor.Creating Historic Models Using Legos
Funded Apr 8, 2014We wanted to write and thank you again for your donation. My students were incredibly excited when the boxes arrived and I showed them the Lego's inside. Their first questions was, "When do we get to use them?"
My first couple uses for the Lego's was for an ESOL student to create a town that was similar to one we were studying in geography. The second was for a student to create a replica of a house. She was very excited to get to make a couple Lego animals as well.
The hands-on aspect of Lego's is a great opportunity in my classroom where resources tend to be difficult. While we have many disposable things we use to create, we had no real, reusable tools. Thanks to the Lego's we do now.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Chamberlain
We Want To Play Music!
Funded Nov 5, 2012How can I measure the impact of your generous donation for ukuleles form my club? Most (all?) people enjoy and are emotionally impacted by music, and that is just from listening to it. When you give a musical instrument to a person and give them the opportunity to not only make their own music, but to create and play for others you can change their lives.
There are plenty of studies that show how musicians do better in math classes, how the are more likely to graduate, and more likely to attend school more regularly. What those studies don't show is the joy that being able to share the music that is inside us with the outside world.
My club is small and we only get to meet about an hour a week, but in that hour I see them learn techniques that help them play better. I see them attempt songs outside of their ability because they desperately want to play them. I see them smile when they are complimented by others for their playing. How can I measure that?”
With gratitude,
Mr. Chamberlain
