• Keys to Success: Mobile Music Workstation

  In my standard-sized classroom, I teach general music, modern band, concert band, Mariachi, and musical theatre. With the constant rotation of students and an array of instruments, space is incredibly valuable.

  The mobile keyboard workstation has been a game-changer for us. It allows me to reposition the digital piano, which was previously fixed in one spot, freeing up space and enhancing flexibility. The cable management system has been a lifesaver, preventing trips and ensuring a clutter-free environment. The attachable stands have been incredibly useful for keeping my device accessible for class presentations on the Promethean board, and the keyboard chair has been a fantastic addition to the whole setup.

• Noteworthy Rewards!

  Thank you so much for helping me add a little sparkle to our 6th grade promotion by presenting our outstanding musicians with special awards and small keepsakes. The gold foil seals were so beautiful against our colorful certificates and the Aladdin slap bracelets for our Musical Theatre students and treble clef pencils for our Band students was a nice touch!

  I hope they'll always have fond memories of music-making in elementary school!

• Dance the Tinikling!

  We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous contribution in helping us purchase these terrific Tinikling sets! Originally an activity I planned for Lunar New Year, these sets have proven to be an invaluable resource during Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage month!

  My 4th graders have been the first ones to have a go at these Tinikling poles and are really embracing the challenge of mastering the intricate footwork and triple meter, all while fostering teamwork and coordination. It really is a delight to see the joy and laughter as they work together!

  Tinikling is just one of the many traditional dances in the Philippines. By introducing this dance to my students, we not only celebrate diversity but also cultivate an appreciation for cultural traditions. Thank you again for enriching the lives of our students!”

• Drumming Up Some Drum Parts

  With all of your help, we were able to get some essential parts for our newly donated drum set! The kick drum pedal and hi-hat clutch now make our drum set complete! On top of that, with the help of polishing cream, steel wool, and a little elbow grease, we have been able to make our drum set shine.

  Now we can look good and sound good. Thank you for pouring so much love into our rhythm section this year. The drum students are stoked and have been really living up to the challenge of being the heartbeat of the band.

• A Whole New World!

  THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping us give our cast members the scripts they need to know their parts and also know how important they are to our musical theatre family! We do a big cast announcement during our first rehearsal, after audition week, and all the students were presented with their script and their role. We start the rehearsal with a gratitude circle and share how grateful we are for the journey we have already begun and how we will grow together as we tell our story onstage!

  This little script will be a treasure and a keepsake of all the special memories we'll make this year for these kids for years to come!”

• Drums and Bass: Heartbeat of the Band

  Thank you SO MUCH for providing our 6th graders with electronic drum pads for at-home practice and electric bass guitar method books by Essential Elements. Our drummers this year already have a practice pad to take home, but this electronic drum pad gives them the feel and sounds of the drum set. Since they will be playing traditional snare and bass drums as well as drum set, it is important to be able to practice both ways. This will set them up for success. The students were SO HAPPY to get the electronic drum pads. AND the bass guitar students were excited about having a book that matched everyone else's! Now we will all be on the same page!”

• Ace of Bass Guitar

  AMAZING!! I am so thankful to you for gracing us with the gift of a shorter-scaled electric bass AND a bass amp! This is perfect for kiddos who want to rock out on bass but are smaller and have shorter arms, yet still delivers the same great sound of a full-size electric bass!

  One student in particular showed such great excitement when I told her that a smaller bass was on the way, so she asked to try it out after school. She was even excited about modeling it for all of our donors!

  You've empowered our youngsters by providing a more inclusive musical experience. Thank you AGAIN for your generosity and support of the arts!”

• Amped Up!

  Thank you SO MUCH for providing us with two awesome Fender Frontman amplifiers for our electric guitars! As our 5th graders transition into Modern Band, we have many kiddos who want their hands at an electric guitar, so this gives them the opportunity to rock out and be heard!

  Thank you ALSO for the reusable hook & loop cable ties for tidy cable management as well as the Lion King themed temporary tattoos that I was able to give to my musical theatre cast members who performed The Lion King KIDS in March as an end-of-the-year gift for putting on such a great show!

• Orff We Gooooo!

  Thank you SO MUCH for these three wonderful Orff xylophone and metallophone rolling stands. It sure makes these large instruments easy to move around the room - and even better - it allows the students to move the instruments with ease!

  The stands actually arrived in the middle of a lesson using these instruments, so when my 1st and 2nd graders came back the following week, there was an audible "WOW" when they saw me roll them out, and lots of eager hands wanting to use the instruments!

  I always love sharing with them how we have a whole world of supporters out there looking out for us and gracing us with the things we need.
