  • Resonating Resin DIY

    Funded Jul 24, 2020

Thank you for inspiring scholars. They will be so grateful and impressed that strangers care about and support their learning. The library is transforming into a place to make, create, tinker and discover. Your donations allow us to do just that.

Resin epoxy art will allow chemistry, reaction and creativity to meet and flow. Thank you for fostering learning and making! We are so excited to go back to school and to have the library roaring and ready for the kids. This donation helps to do just that.

    God bless you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wong

  • School Library 101 Basics

    Funded Mar 31, 2020

Thank you for support learning and literacy and school libraries. The supplies foster creativity, analytical thinking and also create a welcoming atmosphere.

The kids use the Rubrik's cubes to solve and relax. They love coming in on their free time and fiddling with them to unwind. Little do they know, these mind puzzles foster deeper thinking as they learn to problem solve and become resilient. The amazing thing is by playing with these puzzles, scholars learn to persist and not give up, which transfers over to other areas of their life.

The colored pencils allow coloring sheets to be used. This is a relaxing and therapeutic activity that also allows them to unwind and be creative at the same time.

Thank you for your generous donation! God bless you”

    With gratitude,

  • Resin + Creativity= Strong Social Emotional Growth

    Funded Jun 16, 2020

Thank you for your donation. Thank you for supporting libraries, making and creating.

Too often in today's society, we are consumers and not creators. You have helped to reverse that trend. These supplies are being used to create coasters and learn resin epoxy art. Learning to create will foster positive characteristics like patience, discipline and thinking outside the box.

Our scholars are excited to try new projects. The various colors allow them to explore. The resin epoxy will help teach chemical reactions and proportions in math. Thank you for making learning fun”

  • Makers Unite

    Funded May 23, 2020

Thank you for supporting making and creativity in the school library. In these particularly turbulent times, scholars are lonely, depressed and scared due to the Covid 19 virus and the hateful discrimination and killings of our black citizens.

These supplies will allow tutorials to be made for scholars view. Additionally they will have access supplies in order to copy the videos. Art frees the soul and fostering creativity is mentally healthy and provides strong support for social and emotional learning and discourse. Art foster expression and exploration, two values upheld throughout libraries everywhere.

We are thrilled and touched that complete strangers support school libraries, design thinking and makerspaces.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wong

  • Financial Literacy = Scholars Empowered

    Funded Apr 7, 2020

Financial literacy is not often taught in school across America. It is extremely important that out youth learn how to balance checkbooks, invest in the stock market and understand public company's financials.

Your donation of an iPad fosters further financial literacy by allowing scholars to learn to research, take notes and create digital presentations documenting their learning. The kids cannot wait to return to their brick and mortar learning environment and this high tech device will make it even more exciting.

Thank you and God bless you!”

  • Remote Library Makerspace Enrichment

    Funded May 18, 2020

Thank you for supporting remote learning. When we left our classrooms and our children, we did not imagine it being such a long time away. We miss learning and thriving on new ideas and experiences. Your donations will allow at home making, tinkering and exploration of a new DIY culture. These supplies will foster creativity, innovation and teach scholars how to do things with their hands. They will learn the art of making and the joy in being away from technology. One of my greatest desires as an educator is to help children learn to create instead of consume, consume, consume. Thank you and God bless you!”

  • Applying Dispositions = Greater Learning

    Funded Jan 9, 2020

Thank you for supporting technology, libraries and learning in under funded public schools with at risk scholars.

The Surface is enabling us to create, research and utilize current technology. Scholars are better able to prepare to be future ready, manipulate online resources and create digital publications of their work. This is especially empowering as their family, friends and all the world can see what they do. No longer does work just sit on a bulletin board and it becomes much more meaningful and authentic. Learning is a social activity and your donation has enabled us to take it to the next level.

Thank you and God bless you for your kindness, care and donation.”

  • Making A STEM Foundation

    Funded Jan 29, 2020

Thank you for making this project a reality. It was incredibly refreshing to see scholars so excited about learning. When they connected the Makey Makey and made a circuit I wish you could have seen their eyes sparkle! One girl even squealed in delight and another girl team make a video to post to social media to show others what they accomplished.

Next session I will teach them how to block code in scratch to create audio. They will develop a project of their own design using audio for the medical assistance class.

We are so grateful for this creative and innovate learning experience! Thank you for supporting public school scholars and learning in the library.”

    With gratitude,

  • Air Quality Is Key for Healthy Brainwaves

    Funded Dec 5, 2019

We are so excited by this donation. I immediately pulled the diffuser out of the box and had a student set it up. It relaxed a tense scholar right away and others came in and remarked about what the scent was. Aromatherapy works!

The essence oils bring different moods depending on which scent is used. I already see the changes in the kids and everyone asks me what it is for.So this has helped educate them and change their moods and diffuse situations.

Aire quality is key. We can't wait to use the fan in the heat.

    Thank you again!”

  • Educating All Students

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

Thank you for your donation and believing that leadership can be transferred down to scholars. I look forward to learning skills and dispositions that will enable me to scaffold and support students . By empowering children to use their voice in a productive and meaningful manner, we are teaching kids activism and that they have the ability to create change.

This professional development will also be turnkeyed to other educators as I do many professional developments throughout the year. Fostering equity in education is vital and you have taken the first step to helping to create a better and brighter future.

Thank you and God bless you!”

I am an 21st year school library media specialist in the public schools in an urban city school district. There are approximately 2,250 students that come through my library doors. I believe in setting high standards and stimulating a child through the use of art and technology to further develop academic skills. I believe that children need to be provided with opportunities to communicate, collaborate and create. Fostering a love of literacy and providing children with choice will build innovators, leaders and a culture of creativity. Support school libraries as they help to equalize the playing field.
