The Camera That Will Improve Remote Learning
Funded Oct 31, 2020Thank you for your gracious generosity. Without your contributions I would not have been able to give the kind of quality content to my students back at their homes. These are trying times and most of them don't fully understand as to why they're at home looking at their teacher through a screen instead of doing it in school. But at least I was able to give them some sort of joy by creating meaningful exercises with the technology provided to me from your help. The students' mental and emotional well being are just as important to me as their physical well being. You all allowed me to be able to insure that as a physical education teacher.”

GoPro Videos for Remote Learners
Funded Sep 8, 2020I've been able to do so much with the camera I received. Along with the ease of recording, I found new ways to edit my videos to bring better contents to my students. The camera was very simple to use and the accessories made it even easier to record in different angles. I never knew how great the quality of a gopro is. The quality of the videos are crystal clear. The fisheye lens help capture a wider angle, which means less having to worry if I got everything in the shot. My students are enjoying the different angles that I have been recording. There was one lesson when I strapped the camera on my chest and proceeded to do a running interval. It allows the students to feel like they're running even though they're just running in place. Thank you for your kind contribution.”

Physical, Mental, and Emotional Growth Through Physical Activities.
Funded Nov 2, 2019I thank you for your generosity. My students were excited to see new equipment in the gym even though they didn't know what it was. They were just excited to see all the different colors that radiated through the gym. And they knew I was going to use those equipment for fun activities. I was able to position students in a safe area of the gym using the poly spots. Students are able to practice new skills in areas that have enough distance from fellow students. The poly stars are a big hit with the students. I use the stars as positive reinforcement when they are doing the correct cues or behaving well. I would switch out their poly spot and replace it with a poly star. With the new cones I was able to create tangible boundaries that the students can see and respect when we are practicing and playing games.
My next unit plan is to teach students striking with implements. The unit involves students striking objects (balls, bean bags) with various equipment (hands, bat, racket, club). The poly spots are going to be crucial equipment when it comes to practicing in a safe area. The students are going to strike the objects in a spot that is away from other students to prevent injuries. The cones can be use as a tee for the balls. Students will strike the ball when it's stationary and hopefully progress to striking the ball when it's in motion.”
