  • Stagecraft Design for “Chicago”

    Funded Aug 21, 2019

Thank you for your gracious generosity. We are very grateful for your donation to our theater department. With the tools and materials that you provided we were able to create set design boxes for our stage craft class. Students were able to choose a song of their liking as long as it was appropriate and use that song as a catalyst to design a theme/setting as realistic, abstract or minimalist. Students worked hard to come up with color themes that represent their songs and how they could create a feeling or mood that is complimented by that song. I was very impressed by their dedication to this project.

When we first received the boxes from amazon students were amazed at how much materials we were given and learned a great deal about compassion and how much education is valued in our state and country. They also learned that these materials were valuable not just for a short term project but for future projects and students that will take this class. So, again I hope you enjoy the pictures I have submitted of students using the materials.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nupp

  • 5th Grade Architectural Design Houses

    Funded May 17, 2019

I would like to thank you for your generosity and sponsorship of this most important project. Student's in the 5th grade enjoyed creating the project and using the materials for it tremendously. The cardboard cutters were especially successful and useful in cutting the pieces to make the houses. Students really loved the cool glue guns that helped them piece the houses together and create wonderful textures for the roofing lines and shutters. I hope you will enjoy the pictures that I have submitted for your viewing as students were more than happy to show off there work.

Thank you again for the funds and support!”

    With gratitude,

  • The Making of a Star!

    Funded Aug 21, 2019

I am so very grateful for your sponsorship to the students of Jefferson High School! We were so very moved by your generosity and support. The Students of Jefferson High School were able to use the make up and materials to help their Stage Fright event on October 18-20th of 2019. I have provided pictures of the event and the students getting ready using the wonderful materials provided by your help. Every year we try to raise funds for the coming years events but they do not always pan out. With your donations we were able to have all the materials and more for the the event and subsequent shows for this year. I thank you kindly from the bottom of my heart and from our students as well. This has been an extraordinary experience for them.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nupp

The materials requested will help students understand that different tools accomplish different things in art. Some tools are for decorative purpose while others work to manipulate the material itself. Scissors are a great tool but not so much for cutting cardboard. Other tools such as razor cardboard cutters are too dangerous and do not cut as smoothly. Using these specific tools allow the student to learn how to manipulate and design their architectural elements on their own. The bottom chipboard will represent the solid foundation our houses will be constructed on. Also, it will make it easy to carry.
