Our rug gives us a space where we can be more successful because we can attend to each other and our learning. Sitting closer to the speaker, we can focus more. Hearing directions quickly and understanding them before getting to work allows us to succeed in our tasks. However, right now, our rug is a hodge-podge of carpet squares that are falling apart. The yarn coming out of the carpets distracts us from the speaker. The sides of the rug are curling up and tripping us as we attempt to move to a smart spot to work. We love coming together and learning from each other. It's what makes our classroom such a treasure trove of knowledge. However, our focus is dwindling when our tool-- a rug in the classroom-- becomes more of a distraction. Please help us replace it with something nice so we can continue to grow and learn together!
