I am taking the initiate to learn new skills along with my students. I want to provide a 3D printer to help the students learn not only the technological aspects that make up the design and creation process, but also to reinforce elegant, aesthetic design principles. A contribution to my 3D printer project will give students the exposure to the contemporary skills and techniques they will need when their jobs eventually exist! If I'm any good at all, I know I can be better. Although it's a lot to digest, I'm looking forward to figuring out how to use a 3D printer and teach others how to use it. I will work with the students and the Art teacher to have authentic artifacts the students can take home and show off!
