  • Graduation Photo Memory

    Funded Jul 21, 2021

    Thank you so much for your generosity and support. We are grateful to receive the printer and will be putting it to good use. Students have set up the printer in the classroom and are using it to improve the quality of their work. In addition, students in my homeroom will be using it this month to participate in the school-wide door decoration contest. At the end of the year, we will be using it for graduation photos as planned. The seniors are very excited to receive a free graduation photo from your donations.”

  • An iPad to Access Dynamic Lessons

    The Ipad you all donated have been put to great use in our classroom. Students in my class uses the Desmos learning platform to facilitate their daily learning. With the Ipad, I am able to see students' work and provide feedback in real time as I circulate the classroom. I can also, digitally, capture individual students' work and project it for the entire class. I have seen tremendous increase in student's engagement and understanding since implementing method of analyzing student's work. Thank you for enhancing my students' learning.   • An iPad to Create Dynamic Lessons for Distant Learning

    The Ipad have been a great tool for teaching and learning this year for our virtual classroom. Using the Notepad feature, I can give colorful and dynamic notes that can quickly be uploaded to our shared drive. Students can access the learning material at anytime. In addition, the device allow me to share photos and videos that can increase engagement in the mathematics. I even got an Apple Pencil to allow me to edit documents and annotate students' work. Thank you so much for this gift, it has been a game changer this year.”

  • A Resource Library in a Math Class

    I am extremely humbled at your generosity. On behalf of my school, my students, and myself, we want to thank you for your donation. Once we received the bookcase and the books, the students went right to work. They spent over an hour working together to put together the splendid bookcase. As the books arrived, students were anxious to use them. Last Friday, the students all gathered after school and had an SAT study group to prepare for the upcoming test in October.

Our students come from primarily low income immigrant families. However, as a magnet school we have some of the brightest and highly motivated students in the district. The students' ability and potentials are often limited by the resources that are available to them. As our district is facing dire financial crisis, the resources are dwindling. Your generous donations will definitely provide new avenues for the students to expand their mathematical knowledge and contribute to their chances of success in academia.
