Pocket Purpose
Funded Dec 1, 2023Thank you so much for your continued support of Lincoln Street School Kindergarten. My students are thrilled to have all of their school supplies in one place. This has helped with transitions and their sense of ownership.
When asked to take out their Ipads, the transition is much quicker than it had been to sift through the Ipads to find the one that belonged to them. They are now at the tips of their fingers along with: water bottles, crayons, pencils, wipes, etc..
The organization skills that my young students now have, makes my day flow so much smoother.
Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. We are so incredibly thankful for your support in education.”

Funded Aug 2, 2023Thank you so very much for this amazing easel! We are getting daily use out of it and it has been a helpful tool for interactive learning.
At this young age, most of my students love coming up to the easel to show what they know and what they have learned. It helps them to be confident and build social skills. I love it because I am able to present everything on something that is big enough for all to see. Visuals are so important for all 5-year olds, but especially for my ELLs.
Thank you for your continued support and generosity Lincoln Street Kindergarten is better because of YOU!”

Funded Apr 2, 2023My students are having so much fun with these Book Boats. They are always a first pick when it is time to engage in learning centers. These bins allow for movement and an extra flexible seating choice. Choices are critical in the learning environment.
Flexible seating such as "Boat Books" allows children to not only choose their seating but it allows them to choose the area in which they learn best. Whether it be in a quiet spot in the room or a spot in which two boats can partner read.
It has been great fun watching my students being excited to read in the boats. They have also chosen them to sit in for a calm down time. These boats are versatile and I find that the children often come up with new ways to utilize them.
Thank you so very much for supporting my students and providing them new fun ways to learn and explore.”

Out with the OLD, in with the NEW!
Funded Aug 12, 2021My class of 24 Kinders have been so happy and grateful for all of the new materials that they get to use on a daily basis. From triangular crayons to games and educational toys, my class has thrived in turn-taking, fine motor skills, and basic kinder skills.
My students use all of the materials from this project on a daily basis. During center-time learning activities, these products have been instrumental. They have promoted social skills including working together as a team and cooperation.
My students will get to use all of these materials throughout the year and have benefited greatly from your generosity and support. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Funded Sep 2, 2020We have been so blessed by your generous donations. Our whole school has benefited. Whether it be play-dough, pencils, or crayons, our students are able to focus on their work rather than worry about how they will complete their assignments. We go through dry erase markers quickly, especially now with remote learning. We have had 2 supply pick up days and we have made deliveries of the supplies that your donations have afforded us. The children are thriving in their home classroom settings. Thank you very much for making a difference.”

Kinder Clean Air
Funded Aug 11, 2020Although the year has not started out the way we had expected, I was able to use most of these supplies by dispursing them to the children for home use. Many of the children are at home daycares and daycare centers while remote learning. They need to wear masks throughout the day and wash hands and sanitize frequently. Thank you so much for helping to provide items that are necessary for them to stay safe and practice good habits in order to be healthy no matter where they are.
It is our goal to return to school in March, in which I plan on using the rest of the supplies. If not, then I will disburse them at another supply pick up day.”

Funded Jul 12, 2020This school year did not start the way it normally would. My class is full remote. In order to successfully use the games that I have made with all of the supplies you have provided, I had to take pictures of my games and activities and post them on the platform that Kindergarten is using. Some of the games involve having a partner to play with. This has helped with parent participation, which has been a tremendous sight to see.
There are also, copies of games that I am able to send home with my students for learning at home. We have regular supply pick up in which I pack their bags with materials needed for the upcoming month. This is when I switch the activities.
These materials have been essential in home learning.
I will continue to pass out the games and activities until it is time to go back into school. My students are enjoying all of these important materials. They have been essential in keeping consistency with our reading program. It is a different way of learning, but we are making the best of it. Thank you for your continued support.”

For The Love of Learning
Funded Aug 16, 2019My class has been busy using all of the resources that you have helped provide for us. The headphones have been key to our learning on a daily basis. We use them with our Kindles, and listening center. We listen to books and play learning games in math and reading. These activities reinforce all of the learning we do each day.
My students were so excited when the boxes arrived. Supplies that were greatly needed, brought great joy to all of them. The learning games especially caught their attention. To get new items that are engaging and useful added to their excitement. "It's like Christmas, but it's still hot out."-one of the many comments I heard.
We will use many of these resources on a daily basis. We are so very grateful to all of our donors. Because of you, learning continues to be fun and interactive.”

Funded Aug 17, 2018I am so humbled by your generous donations and continued support of Lincoln Street School. With your donations, I was able to provide so many needed materials to get us through the year. So many families can not afford the necessary school supplies needed for their children to be productive students. School budgets are limited, therefore it is necessary for parents and or teachers to provide what is needed. Due to so many families being at the poverty level, it is impossible for them to provide what the children need, so therefore, it falls on the teacher. I thank you so very much for helping my class and families feel less stressed about providing supplies that they can not afford. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Funded Feb 4, 2017Thank you so very much for your donations. We are humbled by your generosity and your support of our project. Because of you, my students are able to learn better and safer. So many children struggle with the need to be constantly moving while trying to learn. In the past it has been difficult for them to wiggle and move safely in regular chairs. They often have flipped over or the children have fallen out of them. We no longer have this issue as the children can constantly be moving and no chair flipping. The wiggle seats move back and forth, without flipping over. The balls ensure safety while bouncing.
The children were so thrilled when they saw the special seating arrive. The excitement filled the room and I couldn't pump the balls up quick enough.
We will continue to swap chairs bi-weekly to see which ones work for each child based on their needs. So far, the balls are the bigger hit. Next year, I too will assess the needs of the students and adjust accordingly.
Thanks again for being so kind. My children and I truly appreciate all you do for children. The safety concerns that I had are no longer and children are able to wiggle and fidget while focusing on their work.”
