We are an inner city school with over 92% of students receiving free and reduced lunch. We have over 150 students. The state of TN has one of the highest percentages of obesity in the country. We have to make changes in our students' eating habits to make a change in our obesity rate. We have created after school classes to help get our kids active including a culminating Let's Move Event each Spring. The funding would allow for tools for our students to cook with and create nutritious meals.
