  • A Classroom Within A Library!

    Thank you so much for supporting reading in my classroom. My students are so enthusiastic about books that they are reading 3-5 books daily! Having a larger selection of books will support the amount of reading the kids are doing. The more they read, the more fluent they will become. Their vocabulary will increase along with comprehension and knowledge about the world around them. These books will be enjoyed by many children for years to come.

  • Comprehension is Real Reading!

    Thank you so much for donating materials that have helped my students become better readers! The nonfiction has especially helped and it has encouraged my students to pick up nonfiction books more often.

    During center time they enjoy grabbing the comprehension cards and practicing with a friend! The CDs make it that much more fun. Every child's comprehension has improved this school year. Test scores are up.

I believe that these materials, which will put meaning to the words they are learning, will motivate and spark enthusiasm that is sometimes difficult to tap into without concrete materials. My students are eager to learn and to be prepared for the world ahead of them, but because of limited support from home for a variety of reasons, their in school experiences need to be rich and many so that they will be well prepared readers.
