• Help My Physics Students Access Online Lab Simulations

  Thank you for your generous donation, which allowed for the purchase of a HP Netbook. The computer will greatly enhance how my students collect, manipulate and access data for their Physics experiments. It is only through your generous support that I am able to provide a dynamic and hand-on learning experience for my students without them having to rely solely on the antiquated desktop computers I have in my classroom

  My students thoroughly enjoy opportunities to get involved in lab experiments and to use the Internet to access information and simulations. Your support enables them to enjoy their studies of Physics and nurture their interest in pursuing additional Science courses in the future.

• Help My Students Study Electricity With Motors & Generators

  Funded May 5, 2009

  We used the electrical motor and Van De Graff generator provided through your generous donations in class today and want to say thank you once again. As you can see from the pictures my students enjoyed studying Electricity much more with the new equipment.

  The motor purchased with your donation allows my students to see first hand how the principles of electromagnetism power the world around them. Several of them exclaimed that they finally understand how motors work and said that they would never had gotten it if not for seeing the model run in class.

• Help My Students Learn About Electrical Circuits

  Thank you so much for your generous funding of Electronic Snap Circuit lab kits. My students will make full use of the lab kits in their exploration of the laws of Electricity&Magnetism and will allow us to do additional lab explorations.

  Your generosity will allow me to reach more students then ever with this lab equipment. They will be able explore many concepts in open ended self guided lab experiments which will allow them to create a deeper understanding of the principles of electricity and magnetism.

They have made it a habit of trying to be the first ready for computer time in order to use the new system. • Help My Students Make Science Videos

  Wow!!! My students just used the video camera your generous donation made possible to record bubbles in order to study thin film interference. The camera made it possible for them to record the "life span" of their bubbles then project the image on the big screen. Their results were absolutely amazing compared to past years results. The camera made all the difference in the world.

  This lab has always been a favorite of my students but this year it was a step above due to the inclusion of the video camera. I am looking forward to integrating it into several additional labs next year and want to say thank you once again.”

  Several of my students have just completed their first lab reports using the digital camera purchased through your generous donation. They have all commented on how it has made their reports easier and more professional in appearance. The statement that had the most lasting impression on me was "now I can use my time to concentrate on the principles of the lab instead of figuring out how to draw my lab set-up".

They have particularly enjoyed using the tire pumps which allows the to get outside of the class and launch their rocket designs. Many times it is difficult to provide these types of learning exercises, which makes your assistance even more important.
