• Utilizing Technology to Enrich Our Reading

• Colorful Art Supplies for Creative Learning

  This project has brought so much excitement into our classroom. What better way to practice reading than learning about the science of slime, reading the directions, and making slime in the classroom? My students had a blast and learned so much from this experience. I will definitely be getting some more glue and doing this again another time!

  Also, the UV invisible ink pens have been awesome as well. Each grade level had words (or letters) written in magic ink and the students went around the classroom, found the clues, read the secret words, and wrote down the message on their game paper. It was a lot of fun, and my students are already begging to do it again.

• Enriching Classroom Environment

  What a great impact this project has had on our classroom. The LCD writing tablets are my students' favorite thing to write on, and they get so excited when they see me pull them out of the desk to use in our small groups. My students have loved them so much that I gave two of my colleagues a set of 6 so they could use them in their small reading groups and they are thrilled with them as well.

  The OttLite lamp has helped bring some more natural light into the room, and we love that the brightness is adjustable. The wireless presenter makes our slideshows much easier to navigate, and the students enjoy taking turns pushing the button to advance the slides. The smelly markers, stickers, and floating frames have been great incentives, and my kids love earning them.

  Thank you so much for supporting my classroom, as well as some of my colleagues' rooms. We will use the supplies for years to come, and we really appreciate it!”

• Keeping Our Classroom Engaging!

  I appreciate your support in funding this project. We have been using the ink to print so many of our fun reading activities and the laminating pouches to preserve them too. The projector has been helpful when we are working in our small groups and I want all my students to see something bigger. We have been enjoying the reading and letter games I made for my students with the magnetic tiles. The zipper pouches have helped keep the game pieces, word cards, and manipulatives organized. • Updating Our Ancient Desktop

  Funded Nov 29, 2022

  It has been so nice to not have our computer crash in the middle of a slideshow or get a warning that there's not enough memory to run our reading program. Thanks to this grant, we now have a reliable, functioning computer. I added a second monitor so that now my students can sit together and interact with our slides and 6-minute daily lessons on the computer. My students cover up parts of words with their hands in front of the screen, and since I don't have a projector, it is important that all six of them can reach it at the same time. We have gotten so much positive use out of this computer already, and I know it will be great for several more years. Thank you so much again!”

• Going Beyond The Basics

  My students and I really appreciate your generosity in helping this project come to life. We use the materials each day, and my classes will continue to enjoy them for years to come.

  Here are some of the ways we have been using the materials: The clipboards make it easy for my students to write while moving around our classroom. Each time a student reaches their two-week goal, they get a sticker, and now they are so excited because I have so many fun stickers (Disney, superheroes, Pokemon, etc). The magnets are used for our hide-and-seek sight word game, and the kids have a blast with them. They love the smelly markers when we are practicing dictation, and the Play-Doh has been a hit with the kindergartners learning their letters too.

  Overall, these supplies have helped my classroom stay enriching and engaging, and I thank you for that.”
