Thank you so much for donating supplies to our class. The kids were happy to extremely excited to unpack our boxes and see what was inside! We have been learning about ways to advocate for themselves to become stronger learners and my students are using their supplies every week when we complete our self advocacy lessons. They are excited to have the colorful paper and computer paper for their projects. Our class looks so festive with all the projects hanging on the walls. We really appreciate your kindness and generosity in supporting our class.”

Thank you so much for donating supplies to our class. My students are using them every day in an effort to keep themselves healthy. The tissues and hand sanitizer are a big hit with my students. They are excited to have them available all the time and use them frequently.

We have been learning about ways to keep ourselves healthy and one of the ways we discuss is keeping our hands clean. The kids were happy to report that we have things in our class to use! I am also happy to have gloves and cleaning rags to keep student desks clean!

  • Privacy for Students with Disabilities

    Funded May 3, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to our privacy project! Myself and my students are super excited to have a shredder for our class. My students were so excited to find out that our project was funded. They already have the perfect spot in our class to house our shredder.

In our special education classroom, we frequently print confidential information concerning students progress, accommodations, services, goals and IEPs. These documents need to be shredded to protect students privacy and identifying factors.

By having a shredder in our class, we can quickly and easily shred this confidential paperwork so that students feel comfortable knowing that their privacy is protected. We are extremely grateful for your donations and support of our class.”

  • Healthy Supplies Make Healthy Children

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

My students and I would like to thank you for your generous contribution of "healthy" supplies to our classroom. The students were so excited to open the box and see all the boxes of kleenex, wipes and rubber gloves. One student replied that they have "never seen so many kleenex in their life!".

These supplies will make a huge impact in our ability to try to maintain a healthy environment in our class this winter. Each student will have their own box of Kleenex to eliminate the need to share and potentially impact another student. Without your generous contribution, this would not be possible.

Thank you again for all you do for my students.”

  • We Use More Pencils Than a Beaver!

    Funded May 7, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity in supporting my students. We are all very excited to have supplies for our classroom. During a typical day, I will have over 50 students in and out of my classroom. Because of this, we use a LOT of pencils and erasers! It doesn't take long for them to be sharpened down short and missing the eraser. The kids were excited to have a fresh bucket full of pencils and also new erasers.

The other supplies such as file folders, paper clips and envelopes are a much needed addition also. My students like having their own folders to help stay organized and they were very excited to get to use the multi-colored paperclips on their papers.

Thank you again for your generosity and support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nottingham

  • Healthy Classroom = Healthy Students

    Funded Nov 9, 2019

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom and helping us to have a healthier environment in which to learn. My students are very excited to receive all the tissues and cleaning products! With 52 students coming in and out of the classroom during the day, we use A LOT of tissues!

As part of our self help lessons, we are learning to care for ourselves and our classroom. These are important life lessons for my students to learn. We discuss how germs make us sick and how important it is for us to keep our classroom clean. Students enjoy cleaning up their desks and helping to clean all around our environment.

We really appreciate the donations that you all have made to our class. The students were really excited to know that there are others who are concerned about their health. Thank you again for your kind and caring donation.”

  • Student Portfolios Say It All!

    Funded Dec 4, 2017

On behalf of myself and my student, I would like to thank you for your generous contribution towards the purchase of the HP OfficeJet Pro printer for our classroom. Your commitment to providing assistance towards the goal of education is sincerely appreciated.

My students create a portfolio which they use throughout the year to show their progress in reading and math. These portfolios are student driven and are used to showcase their achievements. Because of the importance of this project and the amount of work involved in creating it, it is wonderful that they have the opportunity to scan their work and to print some of their work in color.

Your generous contribution is impacting the lives of over 50 students each day! The excitement that they have for their work is amazing to see and I wanted you to know that you are a huge part of the experience.

With the help of donations from supporters such as you we will continue to see improvements in our students use of technology in the classroom.

Thanks again for your generous support of our efforts to help our class.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nottingham

I teach 2nd through 5th grade students in a class which is multi-cultural including African American, Russian, Cambodian and Hispanic. My students have a variety of difficulties with learning. Some of my students also receive Speech, ESOL, and gifted and talented services. The majority of my students receive free or reduced price lunch, which often leads to them not having the supplies they need for school. The students that I teach are all working 1-2 years below their grade level in both reading and math. These students need extra support and practice. They often need hands on materials to help them learn. Even with the challenges that they face, my students are hard workers who never give up!
