  • Fresh Start for Our 7th Graders!

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

Wow! This project was funded so fast! I want to thank you all for your generous donations. These items will help so many of my students be able to complete their assignments and activities. We are also very excited to receive wipes and paper towels so that we can continue to use our whiteboards during each class. The laminated sheets will support our students with disabilities who need graphic organizers or checklists attached to their desks. Thank you all again for your generous donations and your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Phoenix

  • Let’s Make Those Friendship Bracelets!

    Funded Jan 18, 2025

Thank you so much for all of your donations! My after school club is so excited to start creating bracelets for their peers. It will teach them to have a good work ethic and empathy for all students in our school. The project that we will be working on is to create friendship bracelets for students in our school, so that whenever someone is feeling down or lonely, they can look at their wrists and know that people care about them by seeing the bracelet.

We can't wait for the Spring to start this fun activity!”

  • Using Games to Make Math Fun!!

    Funded Aug 10, 2024

I want to express my extreme gratitude towards your generous donations. My students were very excited to receive new math school supplies. Many of my students were not able to purchase new items for the new school year and they appreciate being able to participate in class activities with new expo markers and erasers. The pencils alone are a tremendous help and have been getting used daily.

We have also started to use the integer chips, that is very beneficial during small group instruction. Students who are both visual and kinesthetic learners are finding these very useful and are understanding the topic.

Again, my students and I appreciate your kindness and generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Phoenix

  • Creativity and Critical Thinking Through Math

    Funded Sep 14, 2023

I would like to express my deepest gratitude towards your generous donations. My students were so excited to have new dry erase markers and erasers. Many of them were unable to purchase these items as school supplies and were very happy that they were able to receive them so that they would be able to participate in class activities.

We have also began using the integer chips while adding integers and we are able to use them in small group to allow students who are visual/kinesthetic learners to be able to understand the topic.

Again, from my students and I, we thank you so much for your generosity!”

  • Fresh Materials for New 6th Graders

    Funded May 3, 2023

I would like to express my sincere gratitude towards your donations for this project. I was not expecting to be fully funded so soon and I was able to start using the materials from the first day of school.

My students love the new items and it works great towards our socio-emotional lessons. We have done color by number activities, where we have used the markers and colored pencils to help engage students when learning new math lessons. The pencils have tremendously helped my students, many students have already used them, whether they lost theirs or did not come to school with any writing utensils. The clear sleeves have come in handy so far as well. Rather than printing out numerous papers, the sleeves helped cut it down and the students enjoying being able to show their work and erase immediately to go on to the next question.

On behalf of my students and myself, I would like to say thank you for your generosity and donating to our students. It has not gone unnoticed!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Phoenix

  • Math and Technology! Let's Get Off to a Great Start!

    Funded Nov 16, 2018

My students have been very eager to use the thumb drives to save their work on the computer at home and be able to bring their assignments into class.

They have enjoyed using colored pencils to work on math projects and using them to show visual displays of their work. The ability to draw in class affords them some independent study time and allows them to use their creativity while in math class.

Calculators are always in constant need, as there are never enough to go around for the entire class, as there are always broken ones that are in need of replacement, so the extra calculators have come in handy as fillers. We can always use more calculators.

These supplies have enhanced my classroom and given the students a sense of enjoyment, where they look forward to certain components of math class with enthusiasm. These donations are not exciting additions to the classroom, but they do assist in making the classroom more functional and make the lessons more enjoyable for my students. I would like to thank everyone who helped make this project a success.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Phoenix

My classroom is a shared classroom of 7th grade students, some are special education students and some are general education students. The subject that I am co-teaching is Math and I am the Special Education teacher. I am also teaching in a SETSS setting for part of the day, where students that need additional help will come meet with me and we will review the math problems that are giving them difficulty, so that they understand how to work on those particular math equations.
