I want to create, a space where student welcome the concept of learning. I don't want them to just welcome it, I want them to gain a LOVE of learning! You can not begin to welcome any of these without the optimum learning enviornment. Classroom space plays a crucial role in the success of our students. If you walk into a classroom that looks like the last time it was cared for was about 50yrs ago, your going to get low student and teacher morale. I am fortunate to be in a school that has just been remodeled. With help from previous donors, I also gained some classroom furniture. My new class is very welcoming. My goal is to close the achievement gap through literacy. It's a new school year and I am already setting that foundation ( love of learning) inside my classroom. Everyday I try to create fun and engaging activities for my students. With the proper resources, I can really make a notable impact.
