The Mindful Student!
Funded May 3, 2022Thank you for generous support to get the journals and classroom activities to enhance their school experience. The students are starting to connect with social emotional and diversity activities as they explore World and American History. The activities and prompts are facilitating great discussions that have a direct impact in their daily lives.
This act of generosity reinforced what they have been learning while applying it with real world content. I try to instill the message and philosophy that we must be the change we wish to see in the world with my students. This generosity shows them that their actions can affect more people then they realize."”

Funded May 2, 2022Thank you for generous support. Having a creative outlet for students to be able present their work has been amazing. The students have created individual projects as well as starting a community mural to add to during our next two weeks of student assessments. This outlet will give them a way to decompress from all the stress.
In the words of Margaret Mead, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." The students could not understand why people who they do not know would be so generous and thoughtful to them. They have been working hard all year to understand that being a good citizen is helping others and trying to make the world a better place. This act of generosity reinforced what they have been learning while applying it with real world content. Funded Apr 15, 2022On behalf of the student's at MS 113 I would like to thank you for your generous donations to help us obtain an easy and effect way to display the students work and classroom anchor charts.
We are going to mount these brackets around the entire room so that students can easily hang up their completed work for all the class to see.
The kids are super excited to get the classroom buzzers! These will make our class reviews more engaging and hopefully bring laughter to the lessons.
I am always inspired by the kindness and compassion of others. Thank you for helping.”

Funded Dec 31, 2021Your kindness has made our classroom dreams a reality. My students now have tools and technology to get over many hurdles that have previously stood in their way of achieving academic success! The protective cases will ensure the everyday wear and tear will be minimized.
The chrome books have allowed them to conduct on line research, explore google earth and take virtual field trips to museums all around the world. Students have completed group projects as well as exploring interactive lessons to study history and geography! In the current pandemic it has allowed students to stay at safe distances while collaborating in real time in the classroom as well as when they have had to be remote. These hard protective cases will ensure that this technology will last longer. Everyday wear and tear will be minimized with protections provided by these cases.
