Making High Leaps into Learning
Funded Nov 9, 2023The impact that this project has made on my class and my student's learning has been amazing. Before Christmas the students were so excited to be able to earn not only just peppermints (all I could afford) but have a choice of many types candy when they show improvement on their Friday quizzes.
They were even more excited about the frog theme trinkets. They were challenging their friend to show improvement so they would have frog jumping races with the leap frogs. The frog stickers and croc charms are also a big hit. My 5th graders have enjoyed free time coloring the frog color sheet. My walls are covered with many of the pages they have colored.
Since Christmas I have all new classes. This semester I have already seen a greater drive to work hard because of the incentives that this project provided.
Thank you so much for contributing to the success of my students not only in academic improvement but also with higher self-esteem.”

Funded Oct 12, 2019The kids are having so much fun and learning a lot with these Monopoly games. Lunch time is filled with many kids in my classroom. Thank you so much for your support with this and giving the kids something to do at lunch that does not being on technology but having gave to face conversations with their peers. I have several groups that come in with a few being consistent everyday. I can not begin to tell you which one is their favorite since the kids pick different ones each day. I can say that they have figured out out to 'save' a game so that they can continue to play it the next day. That took some problem solving.”

Funded May 6, 2019Words can not express how awesome you are in providing the funds for these books. The kids have really enjoyed reading these books as the setting for the book is in the region we are studying on our year long adventure around the world. I love my 7th graders and enjoy exposing them to so many different culture that our planet has to offer. Even though we have only traveled through only a couple of region thus far, the student are looking forward to exploring the rest of the world through activities and these books. Thank you so much for helping my students with this journey.”

Funded Apr 25, 2019The kids were so much fun to watch as they attempted to break into the boxes. You could see their brain wheel turning as they went from clue to clue. This was such a break from the normal type of lessen that the kids have already ask when we are doing them again. I will have to get busy creating another challenge. I can not tell you thank you enough for providing the funds for these breakout boxes. It is always a good thing when middle school kids are so much into their learning that they are sad when the bell rings for them to go to the next class.”

A Few of My Students' Favorite Things
Funded Oct 2, 2018These supplies have helped out my classroom in so many ways. The headsets were a hit and are being used daily. We have a program called i-ready that many of the students need the stories read aloud to them. Also our textbook is on-line and will read the text to those that need it. So the headphones have truly benefited many of my kids.
I enjoy doing hands-on activities with my kids and the color pencils have been wonderful. the projects my kids have been completing are so much better with the addition of color. The students created colorful covers for their journals. With the pouches we laminated the covers and ran them through the sticker maker. Now their journals are so unique.
Thank you so much for your generosity. It is people like you that make the world a better place for all.”

Color My World Organized!
Funded Oct 2, 2018Thank you so much for making my classroom organized and run smoother! Each of my tables now have a create for supplies. No more do we spend much of our time looking for color pencils, scissors, glue sticks, and more. It is at my student's finger tips and ready to go. For the most part the students are keeping the baskets and pouches cleaned up and straight for the next students coming in. As an added bonus my student's work had improved. They quickly get to work thus having more time to create quality work. Thank you again for supporting my kids and their learning. Have a fabulous day!”

Exploring National Treasures
Funded Sep 24, 2018Thank you so much for supporting my kids and especially for supporting this project. This year my kids were extra excited doing this unit. Each of my students worked with a partner creating a 'tour' for all the national parks. My kids loved the books and reading all about the parks. I would catch the students showing others about the neat cool things to do in 'their' park. Then that person would try to show them up with facts about 'their' park. It is always fun to see kids get into their work. The posters they created were great!
Thank you again for you support and playing such an impactful role in my classroom.”

Let's Elevate Our Learning with Topographical Maps
Funded Sep 19, 2018First and foremost, thank you so much for your donation to my kids and their learning. These supplies provided a very interactive lesson that I wish that you could have seen. The kids were excited creating mountains out of the clay and giving their mountain a name. The next day the students sliced their mountains into layers in order to make a topographical map. The kids have so much fun and when we went to look at topographical maps of our area the kids understood them much better. All this would not have been possible if you had not made your donation. Thank you!”

Longitude! Latitude! It's All About the Attitude!
Funded Aug 14, 2018Wow, these maps made a world of difference when working with longitude and latitude with the students. I used them with both my 6th and 7th grade students. I don't believe that I have ever had a group of students that caught on to the global grid so quickly and accurately and that is all because of your generosity. Because of the type of map after this activity I was easily able to get my 7th graders in to a move accurate type of map for our mapping labs. We also were able to have a pretty deep discussion about the different types of maps and how each are inaccurate but in different ways. Thank you so much for your contribution and impacting my students in such a positive way.”

Let's Get Physical!
Funded May 8, 2018The impact that your donation made was tremendous. We are finishing up the mapping skills unit with focusing on physical features. The models have proven to be very valuable. As a final project the student had to design their own island and include many of the physical features from the model. I don't believe that I have ever had a group of students that have mastered some of the more lesser know physical features. My heart smiles when I heard one student recognizing the different features on a different map in our textbook. I will be posting a photo of the model being used but also photos of several students island. They are simply amazing. Thank you again for the support that you have shown my students.”
