• Virtual Learning Tools

  These materials truly came in handy when students were working from their home. The whiteboards, markers and erasers helped students do their work off the screen, take a quick picture and share with me. Even if just for a bit, it is important for students to take their eyes off of the screen. Students were very grateful to receive the materials as it enhanced their experience as they worked from whole - it was a way to take the classroom back the their home. We are truly appreciative of your generosity to make this happen!”

• Privacy and Organization - Important for success!

  Apologies for this late note! My students continue to use the resources that you all so generously funded for us! The privacy shields allow for students to create a space that allows them to focus on their task at hand and avoid distractions. This works well for assessments but also just regular work in the class when students prefer to create a space to work independently. The bins have been extremely useful for organizing materials, particularly when students are working in groups. The clothesline is great for displaying the student work. We are all so grateful for the support that you have provided!”

• Art to Engage Learners!

  Thank you so much for your generosity and making this project come to life! Students have really been working with the materials across Math and SLA, mostly in math. They are using colors to really bring the math alive and make their visual representations clearer. Having the accessibility to these tools has been transformative in engaging my students as learners. They look forward to working in their math groups so that they can have access to all the fun supplies in the box. In addition, they are very responsible with the materials and make sure that they are all stored properly at the end of the time allotted to work.”

• Spanish Language Theater Builds Community!

  The students were so pumped when they saw the props for their play had finally arrived! They are more engaged than ever to put on a great show for their younger peers. Students have been rehearsing during the day to practice their lines and improve their Spanish fluency. The younger students are excited to see the middle grades students dress up and put on a good show. The props and accessories are the final touches that really bring the work to life. Students had already worked to make small houses with cardboard boxes and recycled materials that they found in the school. These materials will accompany what the students have already created. It is incredible the difference that these materials make!”

• Timely and Neat!

  We are really getting some great use out of these materials! The clocks/timers are definitely the highlight in the classroom. They help all of the students stay on task and focused on our goals. The nice big visual display helps take away the stress from the teacher to constantly remind the students to be mindful of the time. The stationary supplies are used throughout the day and the kids really enjoy writing more when they are using the nice pens which also enable to color code. The post-its helps us all stay organized and highlight parts in a text that jump out to us and are particularly interesting.

• Success in the Bilingual Classroom!

  These books have brought my students curiosity to learn more about a text so great. We are extremely grateful to you for providing a diverse collection of books that help reflect my students' backgrounds and celebrate the diversity of Latino heritage. Students have been engaging with these texts independently and in small groups. They are learning to take chances and try different types of texts. The graphic novels about La Borinqueña are put on display to help foster in my Latino students a sense of pride in their heritage, particularly Puerto Rican students. Thank you for your interest in my classroom and this project. We appreciate everything that comes through our door.”
