  • Pure Air: No GERMS!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

I appreciate your generosity so very much!! The air purifier helps keep the air flowing and smells nice throughout the day. With different kids coming in and out of my room all day, it is nice to have the ease of mind that my air in my classroom is flowing and clean!

The kids always ask what it is that's blowing and I get to explain to them what it is and how very generous people helped to keep our air safe and clean!

During a time with education has so many struggles and challenges, it is nice to have comfort that we are doing something to help keep the air we breathe safe!”

  • The Gift of Virtual Learning

    Funded Oct 26, 2020

Our shift in education has happened fast! Even though it has been tough, the result is wonderful! We have transitioned kids into learning almost anywhere and taught them to use technology faster than a normal year. The kids have adjust to so many changed and adjusted well. With that being said, the cost of the tools needed to make that shift are high. Through this project, I was able to buy a lot of tools to adapt my lessons for virtual and face to face kids. In the event we could shut down or a child could be quarantined at ay moment, I have tried to prepare myself and my kids for that at all times. All of the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards that were purchased with this project we used to buy those tools. This was VERY helpful and appreciated. The kids LOVE learning using online tools. Thank you again for all that you did to help kids be successful during such an unprecedent time!”

  • Rooted in Reading

    Funded Oct 19, 2020

Thank you SO MUCH for giving to my project!! Your help in funding this project makes it easy to facilitate learning in comprehension, vocabulary and grammar each day.

When the boxes arrived, the kids LOVED seeing each book that I pulled out. They are looking forward to reading each one with me as we learn together!

The teachers pay teachers gift cards were helping in purchasing hands-on instruction outline for each book. This will be very helpful!

Thank you for giving to kids and helping them grow! Your contributions are very much appreciated.”

  • Safe and Separate Supplies!

    Funded Aug 4, 2020

Thank you so much for your donation! These crates have been very helpful in keeping supplies separate this year! With COVID, it's important to try to keep all supplies separated at all times. These crates, large and small, are great in helping my students and me do that! My kids use these crates daily. They were so excited when the items arrived! Students keep their books, backpack, headphones, lunchboxes, water bottles, crayons, markers, pencils, and activity supplies in them! Thank you again for your support!”

  • Safe Seats!

    Funded Aug 5, 2020

I am so grateful for your help! These seat sacks have been so helpful for helping my students to keep their school items organized. Since all students must keep their supplies separate now, these seat sacks help students to do just that! It's great for our phonics bags, journals and folders. These seat sacks are durable and hold up great! Kids are hard on supplies and these seat sacks are great for that! Being that these are so great, they are expensive! With that being said, your donation is appreciated so much!”

  • Functional Technology

    Funded Dec 9, 2019

Now that we have had a HUGE shift in using technology in the classroom or even at home, having the right tools is very important. We use the headphones so that each student can hear and focus on their individual instruction at their own pace.

The wireless mice are used to make it easier for kids to click and drag. The mice help us to be more successful and organized in completing assignments online. The numbered pocket chart helps is to keep our mice in an organized, safe place in the classroom.

The batteries are very helpful in not interrupting our instruction too long, and we can replace the batteries in the mice quickly and without worry or wait!

Thank you so much for your help!”

  • Active Recess Even When It Rains!

    Funded Oct 25, 2018

Thank you so much for funding my class' "Active Recess Even When It Rains!" Project. Every day that the weather is too cold or it is raining, we use these materials. We have recess 3 times a day, so some days these materials are used 3 times a day!

Students really seem to enjoy the magnetic building materials and the "dice" that they roll to do exercises! Another favorite is the Structure Building materials!

When the boxes arrived, they couldn't WAIT to open them! They were racing to the materials to use the first time we had recess with them!

These materials will be used throughout the rest of this year and many years to come!

Thank you so much for giving to my kids so that they can remain active throughout the day! In return, my instruction and their learning is more effective!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Thompson

Our school is apart of a recess pilot. This pilot will give students at least an hour of unstructured physical activity during school. The pilot program will include surveys to tell the Department of Education how it affects students behavior and learning. This pilot is hopeful that it will cut down on behavior problems and help students to get their "wiggles" out, which in turn will allow for more instruction time. We all know children are active and it is so important that students are allowed ample time to get the activity and social-interaction they need. Of course, the weather isn't going to allow is to get outside every day, so we need materials to keep our bodies and our brains active when we are stuck indoors! I have chosen things such as the ball balance board bouncer so students can physically move by hopping and keeping them moving while working on coordination and balance. The crocodile hop floor game gets kids up and moving while challenging their cognitive skills! The playground engineering and design STEM set challenges students to come up with their own designs and test them which also allows them to work collaboratively and cooperatively as they communicate with their peers. The magnetic building blocks incorporates science, hands-on, coordination, and imagination while inspiring children to be creative. These specific examples are some of the many items that will allow for students to choose their “unstructured” play during recess and keep them either moving physically or their brains active! There are many things for them to choose from with this project! Thank you so much for your support and keeping our youth active even when the weather doesn’t allow it!
