• Our Kindergarten Class Needs a Classroom Rug!

• Research....We all Search!!

  I wanted to thank you once again for our class IPAD!!!! When we first received it, the kids couldn't believe their eyes. I had to plan and figure out how to utilize our new gift amongst 26 children! :) I realized how amazing it would be if our school district could invest in these wonderful tools for more of our teachers and students because they really love them!!!

  As a teacher, the books that I"ve been able to download and read to them are priceless. Just a click away and I'm able to read to them or discover a new topic. Recently we've been studying the life cycle of the butterfly, and even though we had live caterpillars that went through the butterfly process that turned into butterflies, it was still amazing for them to see the information on the IPAD. It's their generation, what excites them and what really helps them as a motivator to be even more open to a topic. Thank you for this priceless gift you gave to me, my students and to my many students to come!!! I can't thank you enough!!!!!”

• Please Read to Me!

  Dear Parents and Wasserman Foundation,

  Thanks to your gift cards, we were able to receive a Barnes and Nobles Nook Reader for our classroom. With this amazing tool, my students will be able to download any book from the hundreds of choices and read it instantly. No more needing to go to the library, our books will now just be a click a way.

  I can't wait to read to my class with our new E-Reader. I will be able to look up related books to the topics we're studying in class now.

• Reaching Each Student, One Child At A Time!

  I wanted to sincerely thank you for funding my Sony Tablet for my classroom. My students come from a variety of learning styles, backgrounds and environments. With 28 students in my classroom, I find a new challenge everyday with attempting to differentiate their instruction. Their new Reading Program requires for us to group our students by reading levels, but during this grouping period, I need opportunities to work with one group at a time during "Center Time." I often look for manipulative's, resources or books to use during that time to help make our learning come to life but I'm often limited with what I have in class.

  This new Sony Tablet is very similar to an IPAD in the sense that that books, videos, and applications are only a download away. My students will no longer feel "singled " out when being pulled away to work in a group but instead feel rewarded to be able to work with a new exciting tool.

• Thinking Outside The Box!

  On behalf of Room 6,

  My class and I wanted to sincerely thank you for your donations to our classroom Project. Thanks to You, Donor's Choose and the Wasserman Foundation, we now have a laptop for use in our classroom. Until now, I did not have a computer to project from which was really keeping my students from seeing the wonderful animations, websites and learning tools that our Reading programs and Math programs come with.

  Our Social Studies and Science programs also come with websites, DVD's and animations that help enhance our learning but without being able to have a laptop to project these wonderful resources, I was unable to share them with my class.

  I am now learning how to use my new laptop and I'm excited about being able to use this wonderful new resource in my classroom.
