  • Reading and Science!

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

My students were so excited to have different reading materials! We love to read and especially read together. Having these magazines allows us to read individually and in small groups. My students also enjoy using the digital subscription. The digital subscription is a great enhancer, especially the videos and the movement break portions. After reading a magazine, my students always asks to take them home to show their families. I love their excitement and love of learning and reading! Thank you again for your generous contribution!”

  • New Reading Materials!

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

Thank you for your generosity! My students enjoy reading and looking at new books. We have a block of time that we read. While most of my students do not actually read the words, but read the pictures. Looking at the pictures and describing the picture is a pre reading skill.

Not only do we have a time specifically for reading, but I read a book everyday. The books that we received were written for the preschool age group on diversity, social justice, and inclusions. These are great books for my students to learn and relate to others.

We are enjoying the books and storytelling puppets. These books help bring the story to life and also give my students opportunities to retell the story. We love retelling stories, especially with puppets!

We love reading and with your help, we have a new collection of books and resources to choose from!”

  • Creative Students!

    Funded Dec 17, 2021

Thank you for your generous contributions to my project! This project included several art items for my students to express creativity. These items are also helping us create art projects to relate to books that we are reading.

My students were very excited to see new art supplies and was more than ready to use them. The finger paints were a hit. The majority of my students loved painting with their fingers. The other items such as the ink pads and rollers are very popular and fun to work with.

These art materials are being used everyday! We are going to continue being creative and using different media to create art!”

My students need basic art supplies to be successful. These supplies will be available to all students throughout the day. Students will be able to express themselves by using paint, construction paper, and other art supplies. The items asked for will help students be creative, imaginative, and using their art skills as a way to communicate. The students in this new classroom need access to different art supplies to help them be successful. These resources will help give students the ability to learn with hands on experiences, and become independent while being creative.
