  • We R Connected!

    Funded May 19, 2020

Our project goal was to get the materials needed in order to deliver instruction and properly communicate with my kiddos as we engage in distance learning. It was my goal to create a proper environment within my home office that would facilitate instruction and provide my students with a proper environment that would help them successfully accomplish their academic goals. The speaker, in conjunction with the charging cables, wireless keyboard and mouse were used successfully and will continue to be used in my home office during the beginning of the upcoming school year to properly engage in online teaching and learning from any area of the office during distant learning. Thanks to your kind generosity our goals became a reality! Your are appreciated!!”

  • Entrepreneurs We 'R

    Funded Jun 26, 2020

The ultimate goal of this project was for my students to develop financial literacy skills. It was my intention provide my students with the opportunity to engage in collaborative Visual Arts projects and STEAM activities as they learn about financial literacy skills such as the importance of investing, earning and saving . Throughout the past school year, my students engaged in earning classroom play money for things such as performing random acts of kindness, inclusion of others in group activities, collaborating and working together on financial literacy activities while meeting academic expectations. Thanks to your generous donations we will add to the class store this year as soon as we physically return to school by incorporating the materials you so generously funded. The class store was a great success last year and with the addition of the new project component it will definitely be a great success this upcoming school year! Thank you so very much for taking an interest in our class project.”

  • Creating a Home-Based Classroom

    Funded May 6, 2020

The goal of our project was to get the materials needed in order to deliver instruction and properly communicate with my kiddos as we engaged in distance learning during the 4th/last grading period of the 2019-2020 school year. The speaker, in conjunction with a gaming microphone that I "borrowed" from my son and the desktop easel, pad and markers were a game changer! Having these materials allowed us to properly engage in online teaching and learning and was a great success! Given the present day circumstances in our state, Florida, it is very likely that we will begin the academic school year engaging in distance learning once again. Thanks to your generous contributions to our project, we will be better prepared for the upcoming school year and will be able to deliver efficient and effective instruction to meet my kiddos academic needs once again! Your kind and generous contributions to our project, our kiddos and public school education are greatly appreciated.”

  • Let's Get Organized!

    Funded Jul 7, 2020

The goal of our project was to create a clean and organized learning environment in order to help our my kiddos relax, have fun and get motivated and ready to learn. There is still no certainty regarding our district's back to school plan. Some possible models include at home distance learning, others face to face and yet others are a combination of the two. Regardless of which model will be used the materials you helped fund will be very helpful in providing a safe and organized learning environment. I can't wait to meet my kiddos this year whether face to face or through distance learning, but I'm sure that they will be just as grateful as I am that kind and generous individuals like you, have taken an interest in their well-being! Thanks you so very much for your contributions to our project and to our kiddos academic success! You are appreciated!!”

  • Down to Basics!

    Funded May 8, 2020

It was our goal to provide my students with basic supplies such as pencils, pens, glue, highlighters, folders, notebooks and erasers in order to accomplish distance learning activities. Throughout the beginning of our distance learning experience, I began to notice that many of my students lacked the basic school supplies that were essential to complete daily assignments at home. Thanks to your kind generosity, I was able to send our kiddos basic supplies to their homes. The kiddos were ecstatic to hear that special packages filled with notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers highlighters, glue and folders were being delivered to their homes. The donated materials enabled the kiddos to be actively engaged in their learning as they focused on the task at hand. Thank you so very much for making our project a reality! You are appreciated.”

  • TPT Distance Learning Materials

    Funded May 15, 2020

It was my goal to purchase much needed distance learning instructional materials and activities in order to enhance our students' online learning! Given our end of year situation due to school closures in March, digital online resources were of paramount importance in order to supplement the students' online distance learning and our live ZOOM classes. The Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) gift cards you so generously donated were used to purchase a variety of academic online resources which were used during the end of the last grading period of distance learning and will be used for years to come.

Your contributions made a magnificent impact on our kiddos learning and helped us end the school year with fun, dynamic activities! Thanks for taking an interest in our project, our students and public school education. Thanks to your kind generosity we were able to implement a whole bunch of fun, educational activities to complement our distance learning lessons!”

  • Financial Literacy Shark Tank

    Funded Mar 13, 2020

The goal for this project was to provide my students with the opportunity to earn classroom play money for things such as performing random acts of kindness, inclusion of others in group activities, collaborating and working together on financial literacy activities while meeting academic expectations. The plan was to establish a classroom store stocked and supplied with the snacks, supplies and rewards you so generously funded. This project was fully funded on the day before school closures took place due to COVID-19. Although things did not go exactly as planned, we slightly modified planned activities and incorporated these to fit in with our distance learning plan. Instead of class money students earned stars on a motivational chart which we updated every Friday during our distance learning Zoom conferences throughout the fourth grading period. At the end of the school year our fifth graders' accomplishments were celebrated in an End of the Year Fifth Grade Promotion Parade! During the car parade at school our kiddos were handed their promotion certificates along with a goodie bag filled with the items they had chosen and earned throughout the fourth and final grading period. The event was a great success! Thank you so very much for helping us make this special end of the year activity a great success! You are appreciated!!”

  • Financial Literacy Class Store!

    Funded Feb 29, 2020

My goal for this project was to provide my students with the opportunity to earn classroom play money for things such as performing random acts of kindness, inclusion of others in group activities, collaborating and working together on financial literacy activities while meeting academic expectations. We established a classroom store stocked and supplied with the items and materials you so generously donated. The students began to earn and save class money enthusiastically to purchase/invest in items at the store even before the materials arrived. On Fridays, they got to visit the store using the class money earned and saved. Needless to say, they were ecstatic and eager to visit the store! In addition to learning about financial literacy the class store materials provided an incentive for my students. They were provided class play money for things such as making gains on assignments and quizzes, attaining mathematics, social studies and science goals and for respecting and caring for one another. The class store was a great success! Thank you so very much for taking an interest in our class project. The materials donated made a terrific impact on student learning and motivation!”

  • Basics 4 the Kiddos!

    Funded Feb 10, 2020

Thanks to your kindness and generosity, our project goal to provide our students with the basic classroom supplies they need in order to succeed academically has become a reality. The kiddos were overjoyed to hear the news that our project had been funded and were so excited when the boxes were delivered to our classroom. Needless to say we put the materials to good use upon arrival! Normally, they lack the basic school supplies needed in order to accomplish their objectives. Thanks to your generosity we were able to provide my students with basic supplies such as pencils, pens, markers, wite-out correction fluid, sketch pads and labels to be kept in the classroom for daily use. This has made a huge positive impact to our daily routine. The supplies needed for daily use are now easily accessible to all when needed and as a consequence we are now one efficient, lean learning machine! LOL!! No time is wasted on finding and/or borrowing supplies from one another, we are organized and ready to go thanks to your kind contributions. You are appreciated by all!”

  • i Run!

    Funded Jan 21, 2020

Thanks to your kindness and generosity our goal to create a motivational program that empowers our kiddos to adopt and maintain a healthy, focused and active lifestyle has become a reality. The students were ecstatic to use the materials you so generously donated to good use upon arrival! They have engaged in a series of aerobic exercises and activities using the requested fitness trackers, insulated water bottles and hair ties. They have been eagerly using the fitness trackers throughout the day and have been learning about the importance of hydration as they engage in physical activities. They love using the water bottles and fitness trackers as they exercise. Thank you again for your contributions to our project and our kiddos' well-being! You are appreciated!!”

My students attend a Title 1 school. The school is located in a low socioeconomic Hispanic area. The population of the students in my class consists of mostly Hispanic students, some with very limited English proficiency. Some of these students have recently arrived in the United States and their families are struggling to provide their children with the basics. Most of these students have been impacted by their parents' struggles and are in need of motivation and a boost to their self esteem.
